We believe that Moose Creek Lodge is the ultimate Helen Georgia Vacation Rental. This cabin is a tribute to the incredible talent of several local craftsmen and artisans. This one-of-a-kind cabin is built in the Adirondack Mountain architectural style with a timber frame wood interior, hand-hewn log porches, and mountain laurel porch railings. It is perfect for anniversaries, honeymoons, birthdays, or any special occasion. The kitchen cabinets are handcrafted from antique wood removed from a local barn and topped with a solid copper counter top. The bathroom sink is a locally crafted pottery vessel which sits atop an antique barn wood slab. From the large walk-in custom tiled shower to the huge antler chandeliers, every detail of this cabin was crafted for rustic mountain luxury. On the large screened in porch, you will find a bubbling hot tub, a swing, rocking chairs and a charcoal grill just waiting for you to use. Sleep beside a roaring fire on a one-of-a-kind king size bed, handcrafted by a local North Georgia wood workers. At night, cozy up to a bonfire under the stars at the outdoor fire ring. Relax in the indoor jacuzzi garden tub and stretch out in front of the huge wood burning stone fireplace. Children love the built-in twin beds on each side of the fireplace. Outdoor fun is just minutes away with fishing, hiking, paddle boating, swimming or canoeing at Unicoi State Park and Smith Lake. With 2 additional twin beds, it could also easily accommodate a family of 4\. (We used the twin beds as a good place to lay our suitcases open!) We enjoyed being within close driving distance to Anna Ruby Falls and Helen. The porch swing, bed, bathtub, hot tub, and real wood-burning fireplace were my favorite features of the property. As mentioned in previous review mold in shower was not resolved and there is not warm water in the shower. The water is either scalding hot or ice cold with no in between and there is literally no water pressure in the shower. The bathroom sink takes a long time to drain. The hot tub jets barely bubble and definitely do not have a forceful jet. The path to get to the cabin has limbs/vines in the path that will scratch your car. I reported all of this and they said they would resolve before the next guests stay but the mold has not been resolved as reported in July!! The gutters have weeds growing from them. The property is in need of some upkeep on the outside furniture there are spider webs and it’s all dirty. The one positive is the location. The location is very remote and beautiful! There was some mold/mildew in the shower that was quite unappealing. There was no soap dish in the bathroom sink, so the bar of soap was just making a mess on the counter. The outside furniture needed to be cleaned--it was quite dusty. The door lock had a super long passcode and locks behind you every time you go out the door. This makes it super risky if you forget to have the code with you. Pots and pans were below average and thrown into the bottom cabinet. These aren't deal-breakers if you're looking for a glamping trip. However, if you're looking for a turn-key romantic weekend, this cabin fall short of the mark. ##### Heather L. Easy to find, directions were helpful but also GPS took us right to where we needed to be, and the signs for the cabin were easy to follow from there. The cabin was clean, and the property very well maintained. The only suggestion I would have to other guests would be to bring your own pillow if you have preferences (I always bring mine because I have neck pain, and need a very thick supportive pillow. The pillows at the cabin were okay for my husband but he tends to like a flatter pillow with less support. But it is not anything I would consider a negative about the cabin. Just a matter of preference and knowing in advance) It is very conveniently located to Ana Ruby, the town of Helen, Cleveland, Smithgall conservation and more. Both my boyfriend and my birthdays passed while we had our stay and we were impressed with the cabin. It’s very cute inside and was very clean upon arrival. The hot tub worked perfectly (besides the lights but the experience overall was amazing). The weather was below 50 so the hot tub was an amazing touch. ##### Heather L.
