There are two stylish Amish wood rocking chairs for maximum comfort. The living room offers a unique wood burning stove and glass doors that lead out to the back porch. The kitchen is on the same floor and is equipped with full size appliances, a microwave, blender and a standard drip coffee maker. Gather round the dining table to share any meal and good conversation. The master bedroom is on this main level, featuring a king size bed and a full bath with a shower/tub combination. For the kids, or the kid in you, downstairs is all about entertainment and fun. Enjoy the Ping Pong table and other games provided. Be sure to pop up some popcorn and watch a movie on the large flat screen TV in the entertainment room. There is a futon for seating and sleeping for those additional guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cabin. The hot tub is wonderful for cool nights after a fun day, the fire pit out back is a nice touch too! We loved that there were 3 bathrooms so we each got our own bedroom and bathroom. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a good family Thanksgiving trip. I reported the dishwasher was leaking on Wednesday night. No one ever came to check it out before we left on Sunday morning. It was a challenge preparing a dinner with only one large pot. The downstairs bedroom definitely needs a new mattress (it sinks in the middle). The living room area needs a larger television like the one downstairs or swapped out. The housekeeping cleaning was inadequate. There was dried feces on the downstairs toilet seat upon arrival(even though there was a paper seal on it like it had been properly cleaned). One of the chairs had a large amount of bird poop on the headrest part preventing you from being able to sit back in it on the side porch. I picked the location because it was close to downtown Helen. I love how beautiful they decorate for the holidays. It was an girls only vacation just for the weekend with the intent of going tubing in Helen. The cabin was comfortable and had all the necessary utensils in the kitchen and enough towels. No towels for the hot tub or if you are going to the river, so bring your own. Make sure to bring every condiment and seasoning that your food will need. The water is very hot so be careful when showering. I didn't use the hot tub but my sisters said it was good and clean. Be careful outside, we saw a copperhead in the patio where the hot tub is. We also saw a deer. I would have liked to have a mop and extra hand towels for the kitchen. Be patient if using the washer, it does a weird lid lock/release cycle that makes you think the washer is not working, but it really is. Bring your laundry detergent if you plan to bring home clean clothes, specially if you go to the river. The road is gravel, which makes it fun going up and down the hills on the way to the cabin. There is a small waterfall in one of the main gravelk roads whick makes it a good picture spot. I got courtesy calls asking if all was ok. Reviewer Comments: Everything to do with check in, check out, and a clogged toilet went smoothly. The cabin itself was beautiful, however, downstairs floors and stairs to were absolutely filthy. I dropped a clean garbage bag of laundry down the stairs and the outside was so filthy I wouldn't even use it in the trash can. Balls of human hair, dog hair and dirt were all over it. If I had known the first night I would have insisted it be cleaned professionally. The furniture was unaffiliated for the 8 people advertised. The futon should never be listed as a full sized bed but fortunately I brought an air mattress "just in case." There was seating for 6 at the table. There was a small chair at a nearby desk we used. There was 1 sofa (3), 2 chairs (2), 2 tickets (2), totaling 7 for the living room. All the furniture was badly damaged except the 2 rocking chairs. The kitchen has maybe 8 spoons all together so we bought plastic. The "Teflon" pans were scratched and peeling. There were maybe 2 pans adequate for meals. The whole kitchen looked like an afterthought. We did find adequate towels but there were only 7 pillows in the whole house. We bought pillows and cases. And not a throw pillow spare cases in the place to make up the difference. I've done a lot of rentals, own 2 time shares, and stayed in lots of voyeurs and campgrounds. O also own long term rentals and I don't think I've left a wire review. I realize the rentals are premium during the holidays and I was lucky to find one on short notice but this was the most I've ever paid for the worst condition I've ever stayed in. Oh, and 8 people produce a lot of trash. Need some thing better than "bring it down to the rental office. Thank goodness for GPS!I'm not into knick knacks but property furnishings are a must!You might also add more than 1 board game and what was with those videos?!I did leave a tip as I used to be a motel maid but not as much as usual. ##### Nancy G. We arrived and the internet wasn’t working, they came within 30 min and brought us a hotspot and we had no problem with the internet. Jacuzzi, outdoor gas grill and fire pit was a nice place to hang out in the evenings. We had the kids sleep downs stairs (basement) on the futon, queen bedroom and they enjoyed playing ping pong table (there was a bathroom with a shower). 1st floor had the kitchen, living room and with a king bedroom with a bathroom right outside the bedroom. 2nd floor had the masters queen bed and a double sink with shower. The best thing in the masters was a box tv. Each room had a tv for kids to see. The round table was nice and fit us all comfortably to eat. 15 min from Helen Hardman Farm and Anna Ruby Falls. Dahlonega 45 min (1st gold mine rush). Cabbage Patch Mansion 15 min away and Dollywood 3 hours away.
