First room I was assigned to was next to the elevator, and it had a very strong odor of being unclean. The carpet was heavily soiled. I couldn’t stand it, and asked for a room change. The clerk admitted that there’s been previous complaints of the odor, which makes me wonder why would it be assigned to anyone until the issue is fixed. Second room was ok, very dated and old looking, but seemed clean. Breakfast in the morning was good, but the coffee was lacking. The staff was friendly, and the surrounding area is very nice.

My only criticism is that the comforters are tucked into the foot of the bed so that they won't reach the pillows. Please leave the comforters untucked! I would like to have a microwave in all of the rooms.

overall quite decent
My wife and I had a nice stay at the Comfort Inn in Blairsville, Ga. Overall the room was a good size, the AC/heat worked well and the room looked quite clean. The room lacked a microwave oven, the freezer in the fridge needed defrosting as it was packed solid with ice and one day of our 3 night stay we ran out of hot water and could not shower. The front desk was informed and the issue was resolved.

New Years Weekend getaway. We got upgraded to a suite because the smoke detector was chirping and staff could not figure out how to change the battery. The staff was very friendly and helpful. To be fair, it did not look like other detectors in the other rooms or like I've seen before. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

The automatic blinds were going up and down. We were disappointed in the fact that we made reservations the first time for December 9th and made it on December 2 thinking we were booked only to find out that Hotels.com had us booked for the second and of course we were a no show and lost our money.

First thing that didn't work was the TV...They came to room and showed us how to go to back of TV and restart..happened 2 more times in our visit. The toilet paper holder was broken. The shower faucet was broken. The stopper in the tub came apart. We had them come and fix that. The air conditioner did not work. They came and worked on it (told us that it was a new unit). Would not stay there again.

Good location, very friendly staff
The manager Patti was very friendly and helpful. When the TV in the room didn't work, the maintenance man had it fixed in no time. Breakfast was fine, however due to a big group of teenagers there was no room to sit.

Pros- Convenient to Welcome Center & Golf Course, restaurants, and shops. Good front desk personnel. Cons- The Comfort Inn Highway Sign was difficult to find.

Great stay at this hotel. Very convenient for all of our activities in the area. Easy to go to activities that were spread out over different areas. Hotel was comfortable, very clean, and we'll appointed. Serve and staff were super friendly and more than helpful to ensure we had a good stay.
