The owner has managed to capture and maintain the beauty of an old building with rich history, yet make it super cozy and comfy. HIGHLY recommend! Will definitely be back. The driveway and road were easy and not steep or curvy. Great neighborhood to walk the dog. Close to stores and hiking/waterfalls, only 30 min from Helen which is fun. The house was just so aesthetically pleasing that it made the trip feel luxurious. We couldn’t stop taking pictures for decorating ideas. If I could have Callie decorate our house…! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving dinner and trip so special Callie! This was our annual mother/daughter trip. The personal touches throughout the school house were perfect. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Callie's attention to detail and her respect of history are such a part of the cottage from the beautiful decor to the books documenting the history of education as well as life in the mountains. I found pictures of my father as a young teacher in her book on schoolhouses and pictures of my grandfather as a long-time educator.
