I loved the covered porch at the front door. It's a big porch and that came in handy when we encountered a lot of rain. There is also a covered back porch with seating off the main level. Downstairs, there is a walkout onto a covered patio with a swing. We enjoyed all aspects of this home and appreciated the ability to bring our furbaby with us as well. Secluded enough to feel like a true getaway but just a 15 minute drive to Galena and 20-30 minutes for scenic drive to Galena Territory or even Dubuque, IA. Gas station and grocery store chain close by, as well. Spacious modern log cabin house with all the amenities, a large outdoor balcony out the back door to enjoy the scenic view, no external stairs down (just FYI). Full Bathroom, kitchen, living area, and dining table on main floor. Bedroom with 2 beds on 2nd floor via winding staircase with beautiful view from large windows. Bedroom, full bathroom, another living area in basement via winding staircase or exterior sliding glass door. So, plenty of room to spread out. The cabin was well stocked with all the essentials and the property is absolutely gorgeous. It was nice and private and as good as it looked in the pictures. We'd definitely come again and recommend it highly. Matt was very responsive and friendly with the few questions we had for him. Cabin is everything and more. Sooooo peaceful.
