We are located close enough to all of the conveniences of town, but far enough away to truly unwind and relax. The beauty of the area is that it offers something for everyone. With the Birkebeiner Trail right outside your back door, you can ski from the comfort of the cabin right to the trail in the winter, or go for hike in the woods in the summer. The cabin is well equipped for the cross country ski enthusiasts, including a waxing table and boot dryers. If biking is your sport, we are within10 minutes of both the Mosquito Brook Trailhead and the 'OO' Trailhead. If motor sports are more your speed, we are in close proximity of those trails as well, ATVs are allowed on the roads in our Township We also offer two kayaks and 3 pair of snowshoes for guests to use at no charge. Just want to relax? Imagine yourself sitting in the amazing screened porch enjoying your morning coffee, listening to the birds. Quiet evenings can be spent curled up next to the fire enjoying a good book. The floor plan offers enough space to hang around in the kitchen or sneak downstairs to enjoy your favorite TV show. . Whatever your idea of fun and relaxation is, you can find it here! \*For guest's security, there is a video only security camera covering the parking area of the cabin, it is not monitored regularly, unless an issue arises and we need to go back and review footage, which we have never had to do! The area offers lakes, rivers, hiking, biking, and beautiful scenery, but the biggest draw is this cedar-sided gem of a house! It is immaculately kept, secluded, yet easy to access, and near shopping, bars and restaurants in Hayward, Seeley, and Cable. Lake Superior is less than an hour away, and the city of Ashland has a large public beach for access. Angie was a phenomenal host, with timely and proactive communication leading up to our stay, and personal touches that made us feel at home as soon as we stepped inside. From a welcome sign with our name on it hanging on the front door to farm fresh eggs in the fridge and chocolates on our towels, she thought of everything to make our stay memorable and comfortable. The property was perfect for our group, we especially loved the screened in porch. Everything was well maintained and extremely clean. The location was also great - completely secluded but with easy access to many lakes and downtown Hayward. If our travels take us to the area again, we will most definitely book another stay here. Aug 4, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy This was the perfect spot for our weekend family getaway --My parents, husband and I had been visiting family in the area and were thrilled to find this great looking cabin not far from Hayward. This place was so easy to find. We really appreciated how well-lit the house and property were, since we arrived after dark. The whole cabin is welcoming and cozy. My parents slept in the upstairs bedroom and said they loved feeling like they were in the trees :) My mom and I are coffee enthusiasts and were so excited by all the nice equipment the place has to offer. The kitchen is well provisioned, and we were able to find everything we needed.We all adored the porch!! What a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee, visit, and enjoy nature.My husband and I are hoping to come back in the winter to experience a cross-country skiing getaway. ##### Jessica S. The cabin was very clean and modern! Everything went extremely smooth as far as check-in. Angela was very responsive and helpful on any questions I had prior to arrival.
