Bennett's Beach Cottage

Huge outdoor deck area amongst the privacy of the native landscaped gardens. Fabulous surf side position!

Boasting 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus a shower and toilet in the laundry. This makes the perfect all year round holiday destination. This home is designed for holidays and relaxation. Just one street back from the main beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants and the golf club puts it in the perfect holiday position. The unique design of the home means you can spread out. Spacious 2-bedroom home at the front and additional three rooms and extra bathroom if you're holidaying with a crowd.

Split system AC in the dining room - this will only service the front house section and cannot service other rooms of the home.

The home is designed around a full-length covered timber deck running down the side of the home. The lush tropical gardens and tall trees create a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The deck links the rooms and provides an enjoyable outdoor entertaining area as well.

Carport for covered parking.

Important Points

-Can accommodate a maximum of 8 adults only.

-Pets on Application (the home is not suitable for small dogs due to the pool fencing/large hole chicken wire fencing).

-Minimum fence height 1140mm.

-You need to BYO sheets, pillowcases and all of your towels, or you may hire from the office at cost.

-Strict no party or function policy.

-This is not a serviced apartment, you will need to bring your own food, amenities and toiletries etc.

Fun, funky home

This home suited all our needs. Three females and 2 dogs had a ball hanging out near the beaches. Comfy beds, clean and tidy. We had a great visit. Would definitely go again.

Perfect location

This property was in the perfect location for a balance between peace and quiet, and access to food options and the beach. The property managers communicated well with all we needed to know, and it was stocked with most things we needed. A great stay!

Well positioned

The property was very well positioned. Close to the beach, the lovely little surf club, the pub, walking distance to the shops and Jimmys Beach. It's also a comfortable and enjoyable walk to Tea Gardens. Whilst the configuration of the property was very good, the BBQ excellent and the deck perfect for outdoor entertaining, the whole place was let down by the lack of a good and thorough clean. The lounge chairs looked grubby and I had to purchase cleaner to wipe down the dining room table. It would also have been good had there been a broom for the rooms down from the deck, as they were a bit gritty underfoot. There was an abundance of cooking utensils (kept in an odd place but eventually found), heaps of plates, platters, glasses and eating utensils. However, on opening the eating utensil drawer I just wanted to wash everything. They looked clean generally but the drawer they were in was just plain dirty. We were also a bit worried about the deck as it appeared quite old and the exposed decking timbers were half rotten. Our concern was well founded as one of our older friends was sitting in a chair there and one of the chair legs went through the deck. He hit the floor but fortunately was not injured. It could well have been otherwise though. However, if these issues were rectified and the home was cleaned properly and the deck repaired, we would LOVE to return as, generally, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable, the bathrooms were all clean and light, the beds were comfortable and the position, as I said, was excellent. I just don't feel that at this price I should need to come in and clean first. However, lots of potential!

Other than a bag of garbage hanging on the bedroom door on arrival and garbage bin already full and hadn’t been put out after previous occupation everything else was good . I did have an issue trying to relock one of the back doors on leaving .it’s a perfect place for a big family .

Great location, close to beach, shops & Restaurants. The listing didn’t include a floor plan which if it had we wouldn’t have stayed there as it would suit adults and teens and we had 4 children ranging from 1 to 8.. Cleanliness was average if not a bit below average.

Excellent size house for a large family or groups located in walking distance to beach ,shops ,pub everything in kitchen you would want for your stay some of my friends are going to book this property and bring their families could do with a bit of a clean up outside and a few maintenance things to do but overall excellent

Great location but very basic

It was a mixed experience for our holiday. I’ll start with the good: - Location was great, a walk to the beach and short drive to beaches with no waves. - Heaps of room for up to 10-12 people. - plenty of wildlife to see possums, bush hens, bats and birds. The bad stuff: - no Aircon! The heat and humidity is too much to handle late January. - cooking facilities not great, the cooker either burnt food or took hours. - many mattresses will give you a back ache, while others are great. So if have a large group be prepared for a 50/50 chance of being stuck with a bad mattress. In the height of summer not a good choice.
