Warm days and cool nights make for a cozy evening by the fire pit counting the stars. This quaint, fully-furnished lakefront cottage is perfect for family vacations, guy's fishing retreats, girl's getaways, a couple of couples or a romantic getaway with your honey. Overlooking one of the clearest, spring-fed lakes in Texas (the same aquifer that Ozarka and Nestle gets their spring water feeds Lake Hawkins), this 1-bedroom, 1 bath has everything you need to get outta town and forget about the 'real world' for a while. The bedroom, with a Queen-size bed and the Queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area can accomodate a small family or 2 couples. Watch the sun rise over the lake from the deck as you're enjoying your morning coffee. Enjoy our screened-in dockhouse, private boat dock for securing your boat, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, sun-bathing and lots of room to play, walk, run, cycle around the lake or just chill. A public beach at Lake Hawkins County Park is down the road, just a few minutes away. You’ll want “our place” to be your “your place” for your next intimate getaway. We are away from the crowds but closely connected with WiFi, WiFi calling, Roku and Alexa.
We have several outstanding restaurants in our area. Red Rooster Icehouse, Taste of Italy on the Lake and Circle M Crawfish are three of our favorites.
We're 100 miles east of Dallas, 100 miles west of Shreveport, 35 miles north of Tyler and within minutes of Mineola, Gladewater and Jefferson with scores of antique shops, lakes, wineries and some of the best fishing, boating, bicycling and motorcycle riding in the country! Lake Fork, Lake of the Pines, Lake Palestine, Lake Holbrook, Lake Winnsoro, Lake Gilmer, Lake Quitman are just minutes away. So spend a weekend on beautiful Lake Hawkins or spend a week and fish them all!

We had an incredible weekend at this lake cabin! Check-in was a breeze, and we were immediately impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property was. The covered dock was a standout feature—we spent hours enjoying the beautiful water. The listing was spot-on, and the cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, especially the bed, which made for restful nights. The property owners were fantastic, providing clear instructions and making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to come back!

We had a great time here! Everything was perfect! The owners did a great job cleaning and setting everything up so there was nothing to do but relax! The lake is beautiful and the water is very clear. We spent the whole weekend either fishing on the dock or swimming at the beach (which is also amazing)! We will be back!

Arrived from Michigan February 4, 2023 to find a beautiful, peaceful home away from home. This place exceeded all of our needs and wants. Quiet road and lake traffic. Evenings were great laying on the dock and looking at the stars. Highly recommended.

#### Charming lakeside cabin
My husband and I stayed for a few nights and enjoyed the cabin and the lake. I loved being so close to the water and spending time swimming and kayaking. The Rileys provide many options for being on the water. Th kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed eating dinner on the spacious front porch. We plan to come back in the future to visit Tyler aState Park and the zoo.

Rented property for my kids mini-moon. They said it was beautiful and not ask for more. Owners very easy to work with. Fishing difficult because of ALOT of turtles but did not spoil their fun at all! Great place!

We loved our stay in this nice little cabin on the lake. The cabin was nicely decorated, comfortable AC, bedding was excellent. The lake is absolutely beautiful with a nice covered deck in front to enjoy the sunrise over the lake with a cup of coffee. The property has a nice dock with plenty of room to sit and just enjoy the view. The owner communication by text was excellent as well. We enjoyed being back in Wood County where my family is from and still have many friends so this was a nice homecoming location. I want to go back!

#### Charming Clear Lakeside Cabin
Beautiful charming cabin on Lake Hawkins. The difference for this listing is the closed-in deck, the cozy cove it sits on and the clear lake of Hawkins. Great for swimming, chilling out and enjoying great scenery. It is one bedroom but we made it work with 2 adults and 2 kids with the fold out bed. Hosts were great. Responsive and accommodating.

My husband and I spent a few days here while our kids were at camp. Such a nice, quiet lake. We loved having access to the kayaks and canoes any time we wanted, versus having to find a rental place. We were able to walk to the Italian restaurant. The cabin was well stocked with games and floaties.. The bed was comfortable and the two window a/c units kept us comfortably cool. Would stay again!

What a fun and cozy place to stay. So much to look at inside and you know every piece has a story to tell. The Mr Bill toy made me LOL. Caught fish and watched the fog dance across the water before sunrise. Humming birds were entertaining. We will be back!

We came to relax, read, walk, & spend quiet time together. The inclusive front & side deck is great! No steps headed to back of property. It was very easy to walk around the cabin & the back property was cleared way back into the neighboring trees. The available books & puzzles were a great selection. Our two dogs loved roaming & walking the paved streets. Very quiet area. Neighbors extremely friendly. We also enjoyed music with Alexa.

#### Great Getaway Close To DFW
The pictures on line really don't do it justice. Over the top attention to detail and comfort. We found it very clean and super inviting. The kind of place you can just park, unload and relax. We had a few questions prior to our arrival and the hosts replied almost immediately. Make sure to put out their bird seed and sit back on the porch and watch!!

#### Beautiful and peaceful stay!
My husband & I needed a getaway and this little cabin on the lake really did the job. As soon as we walked in the door it won my heart with all the vintage decor. It was so cozy and comfortable. Our wonderful host left snacks on the counter that kept me from having to cook right away. We enjoyed our mornings & evenings fishing off the dock. We enjoyed every second of our stay & have already recommended it to friends and family. The pictures just don't do it justice! Highly recommend!!
