Great Hotel in an Excellent location. Hotel has many activities and even the launchpad of many other external activities is right next to this Hotel. Hotel's Restaurant is also very good.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and the staff was welcoming. A few things I didnt care for: we didnt have housekeeping the 3 nights we stayed, the towel service and pool side service was lacking, and there was no connection from the room to call fromt desk or houskeeping. Other than that everything was great. Next time I would ask the front desk more about housekeeping to at least remove the trash and peovide fresh towels.

Quaint bay beach right in front of the hotel, quiet waters and very safe for kids. Beach and restaurant facilities spotless. House keeping was lacking. Our rooms got skipped on their every other day service routine, and we were left with a pile of dirty towels for two days. Efforts to remodel/update rooms actively on its way. There were rooms getting new paint and repairs done on our floor all week long. Ocean view balcony was a pleasant place to start and finish the day. Live entertainment in the hotel was varied and fun. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and good. Cheaper options nearby. Highly recommend Fish Hopper just a block down the boardwalk.

It’s very convenient to walk to restaurants and explore around the resort. Our room has so my stains on the carpet (of course, I talked to the front desk as soon as I noticed the stains in the room since day 1) Overall, I will be back to stay here again in the future because it’s so convenient for me and the kids.

The low rating is for not getting what you pay for at the resort which is really a 2 star hotel. There is a urine type smell on the main floor. The beach is very very small. Staff is fine, but notthing close to above and beyond, more like good enough. Almost everything comes at an extra charge including activities, along with the hidden fees. If you want a truwle resort experience at the same price stay in Waikoloa.

Housecleaning is every other day (if you’re lucky) rooms are dated and bathrooms are very deteriorated. We needed to ask for toilet paper and towels everyday. Not a great experience.

Ocean view is not true ocean view …have to walk out to your balcony to see the ocean. This is technically a partial ocean view. There photos are completely misleading. When called front desk to see about switching rooms they said the room id want is ocean front and they’re all booked.

I booked a reservation through Expedia. The hotel and it don't share information well. I filled in a check-in page from the resort and because I wasn't able to check-in that day because of a canceled flight, Expedia cancelled my 2-day stay. It's also difficult to reach the front desk with phone numbers online. The central reservation place said my reservation still existed but at the actual front desk they said it had been canceled. Rather frustrating.

Our family of four had a terrible experience staying in this hotel for one night ($666.59 for two queen beds). (1) Hotel reservation: We got the impression of being offered a “bait and switch”. We booked specifically for a room with an ocean view and paid a premium price but were put into a room with no view at all. Even worse, we were initially put into a room next to the main elevators, with a paper-thin wall between the elevators and beds in the room. Every time the elevator moves, you can hear noises loud enough to wake you up at night. I couldn’t understand why it was used as a hotel room – it should be a utility or janitor’s closet instead. After going back to the lobby and talking to the staff, we were moved into another room on the back side of the building (not overseeing the ocean, but overseeing the main dumpster area of the building). From the balcony, you could sense strong smells from the dumpster. (2) Hotel staff: We got the impression that we were mistreated on purpose. While talking to them about the elevator’s noise, we realized that the staff knew about the noise problem all along – they did not ask any questions about the noise. To me, that’s not acting in good faith – if they already knew the room was inhabitable (couldn’t sleep without being woken up by loud elevator noises), why did they still put us into that room? Do they believe that customers with certain profiles are more tolerant?

Checked in and went up to room and found both beds not made. Lady at front desk apologized and gave me a $100 credit and waived my parking. Housekeeping only came for one day out of the 6 night stay. Another party had the same issue also. Had their amenities sent up afterwards. Lady at front desk working the night shift did not seem like she wanted to be there. Concierge was great, went above and beyond.

This property is tired and in need of an update. Our bathroom spigot popped off, the bathroom paint is chipped, the room lighting is poor, the carpet old, mildew in the shower. It took our friends an hour to check in. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great location
The first room we were given was flithy so they immediately gave us a new room which was cleaner but still several large burn marks in the carpet. It was also dusty but hey we stayed and had a blast any way. Location was perfect for beach and shopping. The breakfast was good and overall its a great hotel. The ckeaning crew just needs some addition training.
