The decor is sophisticated and refined with modern touches. Inside, you can expect local art, luxury linens, and a substantially equipped kitchen. A short walk leads you to a wooded path and kayak launch with a dock on Clubfoot Creek (Kayaks are available by request). Guests love walking to the dock with a cozy beverage in the brisk morning air or at twilight! You might even try your hand at crabbing or fishing. If traveling with friends or extended family, take a peek at the neighboring property, The Field House, a bit bigger at around 2600 square feet and oh so wonderful! Travel a few miles down the road to a ferry that takes you to the charming sailing capital of North Carolina — Oriental. In fifteen minutes, you can be in Beaufort, shopping, dining, or hopping on a ferry to Shackleford Banks or Cape Lookout! A few more minutes, and you’re in Atlantic Beach. The cottage feels out of the way, but in reality, you’re close to it all! And you’ll love coming home after a day of exploring the Crystal Coast to enjoy a more unique side of coastal living. It’s no surprise that Beaufort continuously appears on so many publications’ “best of” lists, including number one on Southern Living's “South's Best Small Towns in 2022”, the “Best Small Town for Adventure” by USA Today, as well as “America’s Favorite Town” by Travel + Leisure, and “Coolest Small Town in America” by Budget Travel.
