"absolutely a wonderful stay! beach pool pier and seclusion! a great space for a family of 4and if you need there is another casa on property so you can rent both spaces for a family retreat! simply a wonderful perfect place for our family of 4!!! couldn’t have asked for a more perfect space! 30 minutes from placencia but we didn’t want to be in the touristy spot! this was a perfect place for us! "A few miles out of the hustle and bustle of town, with easy access to it all-The beachfront at this place was incredible!Coconut palms provide a little shade, and the dock/pier are out of a postcard! Our unit was modestly sized(perfect for a couple) with great amenities, a well outfitted kitchen, and a comfortable bed. The whole facility was clean and inviting. A great pool, good landscaping, toys like fishing poles and snorkels- and the best part was the snorkeling right off the beach here!...

"Ray Caye Island Resort was a little slice of heaven for us! My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary and stayed in the honeymoon suite l, which I would highly recommend for its privacy and amazing view. We had our own private splash pool, and we were steps away from reclining by the ocean. The staff went above and beyond to take care of us during our stay. The drinks and food were delish! The excursions were awesome! The best snorkeling I have ever experienced, and the fishing was so fun, including catching a record size barracuda! We could socialize as much as we wanted but also have alone time. This was definitely a five-star experience and worth every penny! Next time we're bringing friends and family!"

"Absolutely a beautiful property and AS ADVERTISED! The location is key- close enough to many great restaurants and bars but far enough for the seclusion we desired for our honeymoon. We used it all: kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and all were in good working order. This house really was everything you need in Placencia. Kitchen is fully equipped. We had an in-home chef make a meal one night and they were able to do it all without needing to bring anything but the food. The AC blows cold, deck views are amazing, and bonus of having a smart TV helped with our quiet nights listening to the rain. This house has it all. I would stay again without question. It’s the best place to stay in Placencia, especially for the price and location. In fact we drove by two other properties we had considered to compare and were SO GLAD we went with this home. "

"We stayed at Mariposa when we arrived to Placencia and the last night before we returned home and it was perfect. Gladis was very welcoming at the reception, Donny was amazing at the restaurant and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4, since they have bunk beds. The restaurant was good with a nice view of the ocean. They have nice swings, volleyball court, paddle boards and bicycles which is perfect to go in town. It’s less than 5 minutes drive from Placencia airport. The only thing is the ocean has so much seaweeds that it wasn’t nice to go in the water. Which is fine since we didn’t stay at this hotel for the ocean but just be aware that this strip of the island gets a lot of seaweeds…"
