There were far more young children than we had expected. This made the pool a no go area as families claimed all the beds at some unearthly hour . We never managed to get to the pool once. The evening entertainment was also a bit same with a singer catering to parents and kids . There were 2 good nights stilt acrobats and a singer with steel drum. Beach was great staff mostly brilliant food good and varied. Japanese restaurant slightly disappointing. Perhaps a more sophisticated bar seating area for over 18’s only in the evening would be good

Found Sugar Bay to be absolutely gorgeous and very relaxing. The staff in all area's of this facility go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic time and make you feel welcome

Sugar Bay was a great resort for our 5 day retreat to relaxation. Everyone was so friendly. Special shoutout to Pedro, Samantha, and Nathan who made our stay extra special. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Just spent 5 nights at Sugar Bay Resort with 2 other couples. All staff are courteous and attentive and very friendly. The bar and buffet staff went above and beyond to satisfy our every need (Marko, Jaleni to name a few) Two milestone birthdays were being celebrated and the staff went all out to make it special, even providing us with gifts!.The property is small, which is ideal for mature older couples. There is no loud music blaring or constant poolside games going on by an entertainment committee, which makes for a very relaxing time. Great live singers every night by the beach was a lovely way to end the day. My only complaints are about the rooms. Very large and spacious with all the amenities provided. However, our bathroom had sand on the floor the whole time we were there, and other than new supply of towels, we wouldn't have known if anything had been done in our bathroom. The sheets are extremely stiff, but the bed and pillows were fine. I would have liked for more from the cleaning staff. The food at the Reef is excellent with a very large variety daily. Sizzle was somewhat disappointing. The steaks were not a superior grade. The afternoon tea by the water was a fun extra. There is no shortage of food all day long. Great burgers and other options at the pub! We were given a lunch wrist band after checking out to allow us one last meal before being picked up for the airport which was really nice. Super attentive staff, we had a really lovely time there.

Not like the other islands, not a 'real resort', very small and not much activities. Food was subpar and beds were very uncomfortable. Staff were good, location is good, place was clean, but not a proper resort like St. Lucia or Jamaica.

Staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to meet the guests requests. The evening entertainment is generally lovely and low key, but there were a couple of nights where the volume was so loud we were unable to talk to each other at dinner. Wish the rule about not saving seats with towels was enforced, but there was always a beach chair available and the staff was quick to help to set up an umbrella.

Staff are friendly and very good service. A la carte restaurant are hard to book since earlier guests book them all in advance already, should only allow reservations on the day off to be fair. Should clean algae on beach more often to make it look beautiful.

Gorgeous smaller sized resort on a beautiful beach and cove. Perfect for quiet and relaxation. The meals and drinks were outstanding. The staff was very friendly. The evening entertainment was fun. Would love to return there again.

Overall, a very nice resort. The food was excellent including both Umi and Sizzle restaurants. The beach was crowded and seats were “claimed” early. The resort also had a shortage on towels which often meant several trips trying to get a couple for the beach.

This resort was very busy while we were there. There were many children who happened be very well behaved. Our room #119 was not ideal for us. It was on the first floor garden view but it had no vegetation privacy screen and it was right by the main sitting area and coffee station. Sitting out there in the morning was like having a table on the Starbuck’s line. It also meant you couldn’t really leave the curtains open to let light into the room unless you want lots of adults and kids looking in. It is also a connecting room. Other points- Pros 1) The property is very clean and well cared for. 2) The room is basic but clean and has what you need. It has a tea kettle not a coffee pot. 3) It is very walkable. You are very close to the board walk. You can walk along the beach in either direction and it feels very safe. Cons 1) Service is polite but not helpful or forthcoming. One example- When the coffee station was broken we were told that it would be a few days before the coffee cart was open. We were not told that you could get coffee at the bar if you wanted coffee in the morning. Another guest told us. 2) Towels are a big problem. You can only have 1 per person and they do not cover the whole lounge chair. They are hard to exchange . They often don’t have any. We didn’t learn about towel cards for days. 3) Restaurant (Reef) service is poor. Drinks often came when breakfast or dinner was done. 4) Half the beach loungers are very uncomfortable. My husband’s back was hurting

This hotel is not as big as other hotels we have frequented before, but the beach and beach swimming area are very good, very suitable for children and the elderly to swim. The restaurant quality is good and also has concerts in avery evening. It's a pretty good resort hotel to go.

This is a beautiful property, with a great beach area. The water is a little wavy, but you can swim, snorkeling is okay if the water is calm. The drinks are amazing, and the food was great! (not always true in an all-inclusive). There is public transportation that is easy to use. There all white vans with maroon strips and funny horns, if you hear it, just wave and jump in. It's $1.75 USD for a ride, doesn't matter if it's a block or across the island. Pay on your way out. The white and yellow buses are the same. We did a catamaran tour, they are all the same, all the boats leave, return at the same time and go to the same areas. Lunch was good, I pet a sea turtle and we snorkeled the ship wrecks. It was a fun day. There is a horse track across the street and down 2 blocks. We walked there. We placed bets at the green building and watched the first 2 races from the grass (free). Then decided to go into the seated area. It was $12.50 USD to sit in a shaded seat by the finish line. There's food venders, and drinks. The races are on Saturdays 3-7 pm. We loved it. Every morning they walk the horses to the beach to swim. The horses love it, and for a tip you can get some pics and sit on a horse and help wet them down. If you like horses it was fun to watch them play in the sand and swim. This is 5:30-7:30 am. There's a gas station across from the track, just go down that road and you will see them. Bridge town has a lot of cool old buildings worth a trip.

Nice property. But seriously overpriced. The food was OK for lunch and dinner, but for breakfast was awful. No spec service what so ever. The hotel is OK but for the money it cost is a joke. Seriously over priced.

Location on the beach is excellent. Food choice is minimal, staff are very slow 30mins for a cup of tea. Limited towels, one day no pool towels. Seems like the waiters did not want to serve you, all dinning is seated outside where birds come and eat of plates which have been left has waiters take time in clearing them. Rooms clean and cool.

We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay. All the staff are kind and helpful. The food and drinks are varied and tasty. Both the beach and pool area are well equipped. Both the on-site restaurants included in our stay were lovely as well. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The staff were very friendly but sometimes MIA. I always love a pool bar and on more than one occasion the bartender would be gone for over an hour at a time. It’s not a huge deal but I’ve never had that happen at any other all inclusive. The food was a miss at the buffet for us but other guests seemed to love it, the specialty restaurants were wonderful, as well as Blush the cafe on property. Blush also has cute decor perfect for some photo ops. The room did have a little bit of a musty smell and the air conditioner didn’t really work that well. The view from our room was beautiful. The beach was wonderful as well. It is odd that the staff come out around 3:30-4 and start putting all the chairs away. They never ask you to leave or move but i did get a feeling of being in the way and that it was time to wrap up our beach day. I think more information about the hotel and activities would be helpful. Maybe a map of the resort in the room? We planned on taking the shuttle that they had listed in the lobby to go to the Oistins fish fry but were never told we needed to be added to a list and by the time we found out the shuttle was full. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Did I enjoy my time while I was there? Yes. It is a hotel on a beautiful beach and I had a wonderful time. I just think some of the reviews are a little too positive for what this hotel really offers.

Loved the front desk and water sports staff! Everyone was friendly and the food was great! Loved that they had local Bajan food available! The hotel is local to shopping, boats, snorkeling down the street. My massage was also great! Hotel was clean and the rooms were adorable!
