Dirty and dirty

Posted 19-Oct-2017
I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels with better quality. I checked in at 8pm and The “breakfast bar” still had crumbs and crust all over the counter and toaster from that morning. The bid mirror in the mirror was broke and the piece was just left there on the counter. The floor has never been vacuumed and the room smelled like mildew when you walk in.

Overpriced

The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. The beds squeak with every movement hence at 3 am I was able to hear very clearly the room next door having sex!

Unclean, unhelpful hotel near New Orleans

Posted 10-Oct-2017
Pros: Convenient location and price.
Cons: Cleanliness! Amenities.
SO many complaints about this hotel... 1) When I booked the reservations, I made a specific request to have a microwave AND fridge because we were traveling from out of state - I even called ahead to assure this was not an issue. When we checked in, there was no fridge or microwave. I called the front desk immediately, they promised the maintenance guy would deliver both units the following morning (not really good enough but it was late so I agreed). After waiting around all morning for the maintenance guy, I had to call AGAIN and I did not receive a fridge or microwave until 2pm the second day. 2) The room was utterly gross and unclean. I have photos to prove it. The floor was "sticky", dirty, and one corner had ashes from cigarettes still on the floor. The bath tub had a puddle of old, stagnant water that would not drain. 3) There was a bright, red, flashing light on the phone so I called the front desk to ask what that was and how to make it stop - she said it was a wake up call which I never requested. The light never went away throughout the entire stay. 4) Each evening when we returned to our room, the key did not work - it was not until the final day of our stay, someone finally told us that the keys expire every day. Now with that being said, the actual employees at the desk were polite... but the overall hotel amenities and service was highly disappointing. I have stayed with Travelodge many times, but have never received such a lack of service.

Horrible

This is a crack hotel some rooms don't have windows just nasty. Drug dealers coming in and out of there I couldn't take one night there and they still charged me for one night when I paid looked at room and left. Don't believe the picture. Lobby looks nice when u go there but rooms are way different.

Old but quaint

Posted 6-Sep-2017
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Room décor, and maintenance
Location: About 20 minutes to the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans
Hotel is quite old and needs some maintenance but for a place to rest one's head and shower it was worth the price. In my room the only light which worked was one of the bed lights and the bathroom lights. Many of the wall outlets were inoperative and some even had broken face plates - a safety issue. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful during my stay and attempted to correct the issues I had brought to their attention. The pool in the main area was dirty and had algae growing.

Worst place I ever stayed in my life

Posted 30-Jul-2017
I went in June. I had to switch rooms 3 times because the room reaked of mildew. The manager sprayed ozium in the room and said that room was way better.. it wasn't the case the wore off in less than 10 minutes. That room bathroom light didn't work so they moved us into another "clean" room that smelled like mildew and the entire bathroom smelled like pee. Later the power went out and they switched us to another room. Also, smelled like mildew. I asked for a bottle of Lysol and basically just dealt with the mess my entire stay. The staff didn't like that I kept switching rooms but I had to the place was so horrible. I will never go back to this dump.

Bad experience!

Posted 23-Jul-2017
Bathroom had mold, the fixtures were loose almost coming off in the shower, furniture had knobs missing, the only good thing was the bed, it was comfortable. The pool in front of our room was all black, the supposed breakfast was a joke, there was nothing really and all coffee pots were empty, I guess I got what I paid for! They had all kinds of mattresses stacked in the front of the hotel entrance, very messy! Would never stay here again!!!
