The newly constructed house was designed with lots of spaces for indoor and outdoor fun as well as private areas for quiet rest, retreat, and work (if necessary). Situated at the top of a large cove off the main body of Lake Hartwell, guests simultaneously experience expansive views of the lake as well as sheltered swimming off the dock. A protected, undeveloped shoreline across the cove further enhances the beauty and privacy of the location. Guests can access kayaks, paddleboards, and other swim toys as well as safety gear. A large floating water pad is perfect for little ones or for King of the Mountain competitions. The covered dock is equipped with a ladder and water bench for easy water access, chairs and towels, water coolers and more. Gear is provided to fish off the dock, and local fishing charters can pick up dock side (we’ve always caught our limit of big bass stripers). Boats can be rented nearby, launched within a mile of the house, and housed at our dock. The 100-foot path from the house to the dock is paved, easily walkable and wheelchair accessible. A golf cart and bicycles are also available. The main living area of the house includes five large, connected spaces: a vaulted ceiling fireplace room with a wet bar, a kitchen equipped to feed a crowd, a window sitting area perfect for morning coffee, a large sunroom with a chess table, and a dining room with board games and puzzles. The entire space is surrounded by extensive floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy the lake views, the natural light, and the birds and other wildlife. The bedrooms are designed as mini retreats: three king and one queen bedroom each includes its own bathroom and TV, a six-twin bunk room includes its own bathroom and TV. The house sleeps 14 on beds. Daybeds and cots are also available if needed. A large patio on the main floor includes extensive seating areas, a 36-inch Blackstone Griddle, a Green Egg, a Weber charcoal grill, and a fire pit. A putting green connects the patio to a game room with a poker table, darts, and a foosball table. Upstairs a TV room with a large sectional sofa opens to an outdoor deck for happy hour, movies, and game days. There is a sound system and reliable wifi throughout the house and parking for 5-6 cars. In addition to the fun on site, the house is about 15 minutes from downtown Hartwell with restaurants and shopping, 10 minutes from a safari animal sanctuary where you can drive through and feed the animals, 10 minutes from mountain biking and hiking trails, 45 minutes from zipline parks, and an hour from white water rafting. All 13 adults were in awe. The sleeping accommodations were very comfortable and worked well with couples and singles. We loved the ceiling fans in every room and outdoor space. The dock area and lake was beautiful and we enjoyed hanging there. The kitchen was super well-equipped and stocked. The house was extremely clean. The porches and dock had some spider webs we had to clean off but we were early in the season. We had lots of room and nobody was tripping over each other but the common areas encouraged group togetherness. We are looking forward to our 2nd cousins reunion here! ##### Stanley H. This house had everything and then some. Four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms was perfect for the multiple family units that stayed with us. The bunk room was the perfect retreat for the adult cousins. The upstairs lounge room with its own balcony was a cozy escape from the activity on the first floor. This house was built with care and thoughtfulness. So much space and storage. And oh, the amenities. Stocked with everything you could dream of needing. Beautiful, large, clean, well-stocked and great location. Now the long version. Just a few moms bringing their kids on a short getaway. All of us agreed that the place was better than the photos. All of the rooms and bathrooms were a nice size. Every room had its own bathroom. The bunk (kid's) room was huge and very well thought out. It sleeps 6 very comfortably with plenty of space. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was huge and had EVERY pot, pan, gadget you would need. The owners left enough paper products, trash bags, detergent, dish soap for our entire stay. I have rented many homes and that was a first. Tons of games and puzzles available. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods and golf cart daily. Even caught a fish off the dock! We rented a boat and easily docked it overnight. The view from the dock was beautiful. The lake was practically empty the entire holiday weekend. So quiet and peaceful. Ingles was 20 min away and was actually very nice. I have bragged to all of my friends about this house and I hope to return regularly. Negatives (but not really)...water pressure in my (upstairs) bedroom could have been better. I missed having a garbage disposal. We had to wash bedsheets in two bedrooms because of guests with eczema. We think the use of dryer sheets was the cause. A quick wash and everything was fine. I highly recommend this gorgeous home. ##### k a. This property was absolutely perfect for our party of 15! Ample bedrooms/beds and large open living areas really created an environment where we could all enjoy each others company without feeling cramped. The house and property were chuck full of amenities (Monopoly, Jurassic Park Edition was absolutely played) leaving you wanting for nothing. A bunch of us wandered down to the dock and low and behold, there were already a bunch of adirondack chairs and foldable rocking chairs so everyone could hang out and enjoy the cool wind whipping off the lake. On top of the amazing layout of the house, the hosts already had a bunch of staples stocked for our use (seasonings, spices, coffee, paper towels, plates, etc.) which made cooking meals so much easier. If that wasn't enough, the host, Natalie, was one of the best I've ever encountered. Regardless of whether I reached out before, during, or after the trip, Natalie got back to me within an hour of me reaching out. We had 4 families with kids of all ages and everyone had ample amount of space. We spent all the day on the dock in the cozy cove. Loved the paddle boards and kayaks!
