Our stay was pleasant although the weather was not.Our first visit to Harrogate & The Majestic did not disappoint. On checking in we were told that we were upgraded, the room was lovely, clean & quite big though not as big as our friends, they had not been upgraded. We had lovely white bathrobes & slippers (they did not). Breakfast was buffet & very good although we waited quite awhile for tea& coffee.
In parts the hotel is very tired in places & need more staff as there was waiting at the bar as well as breakfast
Just returned after a 2 night stay at the White hart hotel, yes the rooms are on the small side and a little dated but the hotel is lovely and great value for money, it has a great location. We had excellent service from Steve on reception with everything from toothpaste to milk, thanks again Steve. The restaurant was nice although the food was not quite up to the same standard as our 1st visit and found the menu limiting. Overall it's a great hotel and we lived the fat badger cocktails will be back again
Visited for a short stay and found the hotel in an ideal location for getting around the town. All the staff were friendly and helpful. On this visit the main bar was closed for private function, alternative bar area in hotel was ideal, quiet and surprisingly not too expensive. Only downside of stay is restricted parking at hotel, but staff will help by directing you to alternative parking a few minutes away. Will probably visit Harrogate again in summer, would definitely consider this hotel.
We checked in easily on Saturday at about 4pm and were shown to our room. Room was nicely laid out and spotlessly clean and tidy but, perhaps a bit on the small side?
Dinner was fantastic, not cheap but, every component was of the highest quality and had been prepared to the highest standard. Breakfast was the same- we both had 2 poached eggs and they were perfect - this is what I mean by added care and attention; everything is carried out to a high standard. The bar and restaurant area is presented to a very high standard and well laid out/spotless

The hotel had some nice character, we had a comfortable nights sleep in a lovely warm room. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. It was Breakfast that was very disappointing, we had to queue to get in when there was clearly empty spaces for extra tables. It was very disorganised with poor service, it looked like they needed extra staff to cater for the number of guests staying. I've been in many hotels and would expect a hotel that size to clearly be able to cater for a full house at breakfast. We would visit again but would hope breakfast would be more enjoyable.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay! It was money well spent. Very conveniently placed for the town centre but still quiet so you didn't feel that close. Lovely room, very clean (cleaned every day) and we felt instantly at home.
