The room was cute, clean, in a great location, and nicely decorated—just what we were hoping for. A couple things to note: there was a bit of sand in the pull-out bed, and we noticed cigarette smoke from outside getting pulled in through the A/C (not the host’s fault, but something to keep in mind). Check-in was a little confusing since the key location had changed and we didn’t get a heads-up, but the host was super responsive and got it sorted fast. The apartment has been renovated and was clean and spacious for us and our 7 year old. The bed was amazingly comfortable as was the pullout couch. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the washroom had ample towels for use as well. Yes, the building itself is a little run down but it's no bother at all since the apartment itself is spectacular. It was a very hot weekend so the air conditioner definitely came in handy! Location is perfect, directly across the street from the beach and dining options are within minutes of walking.
