Rooms and bathrooms have been recently renovated, the TV was huge, the beds comfortable, the fridge was quiet, and the Pub in the hotel had great pot roast and chicken pot pie - welcome after a long day of driving.
Similar hotels charge $125 - $140.
My husband and I were celebrating our 31st Wedding Anniversary and were treated with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and whipped cream when we returned to our room.
We had a lovely dinner at the in-house restaurant 1700. I am on a low fat diet and our kind, exceptional waitress informed me that I could select whatever I wanted and give her cooking instructions and they would carry them out. At the end of our dinner she brought us a tray of desserts on a ceramic tile with candles and Happy 31st Anniversary written in chocolate. This truly made our evening that she went out of her way for us.
I was highly impressed with the service we received during our stay. Ever single employee we came into contact with went out of their way to make sure we were promptly greeted with a smile and sincerity. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing and it didn't feel as though it was a job for them. That is rare to find in employees, as a corporation, you must be doing something right. Hold on to the staff at that location, they'll surely make you money when they're as outstanding as this group was. I will stay here again next time I'm in town.
If you're searching for a place to spend the night without emptying your wallet, this is it.
Most of the area hotels were asking upwards of $129/night (Friday), and I saved almost $50 by booking a room here. Helpful and courteous staff.....clean room......and very easy access from I-81.
There are a couple places to grab something to eat within a 1/2 mile if you choose not to order in.
Beautiful view across from the hotel and outside was nicely trimmed. Friendly staff was a plus. Room wasn't anything special, needs to be updated a tad, but it was clean which is important. I would stay here again
