Great hotel with superb location and service
Good location, private Ghat, good service. Have stayed earlier and experience has been great always. However I have one suggestion that since many people visit Haridwar due to holding prayers , hotel should look at feasibility of this offering check in time of 15:00 hrs and check out time of 13:00 hours

This was our first trip to Haridwar. We had a great experience at Haveli HariGanga. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and attended to our needs. Our attendant Sonuji was very caring and so was Pankajji. We had a wonderful view of the Ganga Aarti, thanks to Pundit Sandeepji who placed us at a great spot. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Haridwar. Their Ganga facing suites are awesome!

Awesome place
Well everything went according to our expectations. The best part was the staff at the hotel are very helpful and they go out of their way to help you without any expectations. The hotel has it’s private ghat which is a plus point. Very nice and tasty food the chef can make according to your desire.

The Haveli was a beautiful oasis in Haridwar. The staff were friendly and very accommodating - they made sure that my family was taken care of at all times. Our rooms had a gorgeous patio overlooking the river. The food was delicious and tasted home-cooked. We loved our stay here and hope to come back again.

Awful and nightmarish experience
It was a spoiler. We had great expectations at the time of booking but it turned out to be a nightmare. The hotel is located inside a small dingy lane which is full of shops and people and dirt. Cars never make it to the hotel. So basically once you reach the main road, you need to call them and they will send an auto to take the things and people. That is pretty inconvenient and something which they never reveal. The food is terribly overpriced and tastes very ordinary. So one generally would not like to repeat the same thing again and again. The rooms are absolutely suffocating, stuffy and claustrophobic- there are no windows or opening unless you go out. Only the suites which are limited in number have verandas with them. The only scoring point is that it is beside the Ganges. But thats it. Spending more than one night seemed pretty difficult for us. On the second last day, we decided to leave the hotel and shift to Dehradun since the highways were packed and we had a morning flight. We requested the manager to kindly allow refund, if not full at least half. However, after a lot of delay, they simply declined in a rude manner. The general staff also do not seem to be professional. We would not recommend the hotel for anyone.

Great stay experience in Haridwar
We stayed for three nights in April 2019. This boutique hotel exceeded all our expectations. We had read positive feed back and we did experience it. The staff were exceptional, every one of them, food was great, ambience very divine. Very close to Hari Pauri. It also has its own ghat very private and clean where we could take a dip in holy ganga. Don’t be worried about approach road which is small by lane. They has e rickshaw pick up facility from the parking place which is little bit away.

Hotel in the Ganges.
We had a 2 night stay. Building was built in 1870. Used to be residence of a local King. Now a hotel. Place is very clean and well maintained. Very close to the main Haridwar attraction, Har ki Pauri. We were looked after very well, rooms overlooked the Ganges and view was amazing. They have their own small private Ghat just in case. Staff was very attentive. Rooms heated for winter (we visited in Jan). Food is all vegetarian with many options, largely buffet style. There were made to order Uttapam and Paranthas that were delicious. We booked breakfast and dinner, on premises which turned out to be a very good decision. Staff made arrangements to pick us up from and drop off to Airport. They arranged travel for local excursion to Rishikesh. Kids attended free Yoga class with Preeti. There are morning and evening Aarti conducted daily in courtyard next to dining hall. We were looking at other 4 or better star locations but we would highly recommend this place.

A taste of true Indian hospitality
This is a renovated Haveli (aka villa), converted to a hotel, which provides a unique old Indian Haveli experience. And the hotel staffs are simply amazing & cordial and are willing to do anything to make your stay comfortable. Here's an example that touched me. I stayed at this hotel with my 72yrs old mom and had dinner at the hotel everyday during our stay as the food quality was ideal for my mom's need. On the 3rd day, we fell asleep in the evening (blame it on jet lag) without dinner and around 9:30pm the supervisor at the restaurant called our room to check if we had dinner as he didn't see us for dinner and the restaurant would close at 10pm. There were many such small small touches that truly give you the taste of Indian hospitality.

Great location, but the sister location Lahiri is better- the walk is 10-15 minutes to Har ki pauri. Mattress was uncomfortable and worn. I do not mind paying a higher price (booked the suite) for a better product, but this hotel might be overrated. Our room was smaller than the photos depicted. The hotel advertises escort service to ganga aarti, but they did not offer it to us even when asked. For us it would have been better to book breakfast ahead of time with the hotels.com package.

Look no further. Best place in Haridwar, with such a positive energy and great vibe. This place is an absolute delight. private ghat for a dip, escorted trip for the Aarti, complimentary chai evening accompanied by live flute was something I looked forward to the most. The staff is not just courteous, but very welcoming and genuinely warm. And yes, the food is delicious. Delicious is the word.

Very courteous staff. Bathrooms are comfortably large and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Property overlooks the Ganges river - nice to spend the evening on the terrace. Very close to the markets, train station and Har ki Paudi. Complementary transportation to the vicinity and to the station.

Likely one of the better hotels in Haridwar. Likes include: - Proximity to Har Ki Pauri - On the Ganges with a private area to take a plunge in the river - Hot water for showers - Meditation and Spa classes available - Friendly staff - Reasonable accomodations Areas of improvement: - Room is likely a 3 at best and bathroom maybe a 2.5 but both were rated based on a relative basis based on what's available in the general area - Food quality is reasonable. This was my 2nd stay at Haveli Hari Ganga. We have very much enjoyed our time there. The haveli experience is a nice one, especially with the music and other programming in the courtyard. It is very nice to have a deck and private ghat on the Ganga River. The highlights are the food, which is well prepared and served for each meal, and the staff, who are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to my future stays there.

Situated in the heart of old Haridwar on the Ganges, the Haveli hotel provided me with exceptional 5 star service to include: check in/introduction, concierge service, room service, the spa, and fine dinning. The hotel’s mission – To make you feel like “this is your house”. The overall atmosphere I experienced felt like Old India from a by gone era. Haveli Ganga Hotel, to include my room, is tastefully décorated throughout with beautiful understated furnishings and historic photos, vintage movie posters, and plants only enhanced my stay at the hotel making it a sublime experience. The staff I found to be very efficient, friendly and exceedingly polite. In particular, I am most appreciative and grateful for Sonu whose services and knowledge he imparted about Haridwar helped me get the most out of my experience. My room was river facing with a shared terrace. Food all varied and vegetarian and, yes, delicious. The hotel has morning programs for guests should they opt for relaxation before easing into the day. In summation, the Haveli Ganga left me with an impression of warmth and sincerity, only my wishing in retrospect to have stayed a little longer.

Amazing heritage boutique hotel. An oasis in the middle of Hsridwar. The hotel is a hidden gem. Situated by the Ganges this unusual hotel in one of India’s holy cities offered music, good food in buffet form, assistance in getting to the Ganga Aarta and experiencing a Hindu spiritual event. They also had yoga classes and massage. It was definitely helpful for westerners like us.

We were not comfortable with most other hotels when looking at reviews. Everything was positive about this and it did not disappoint. Quite on the pricier side but it was worth the peace of mind for a first time traveler with family to such a crowded place. Staff was very helpful with any requests. Hotel has an escorted visit to see the evening arti and private bathing ghat.

A trip back in time...
This is a hidden opulent gem. The hotel will remind you of old India and how India was 150 years ago. The room was very comfortable and decorated well. The price may be higher but, you are in essence paying for a time machine. During my two week visit to the area, we enjoyed some of the most amazing food. If only all food tasted this good. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Havei Hari Ganga is absolutely lovely. Probably the best in the area and so glad we booked here. It has classic indian decor but with all modern features one expects (wifi, tea/coffee facilities in room). The staff were so kind and helpful. They organised whatever we needed. The hotel also has in house activities such as Yoga, as well as it's own private Ghat (very convenient if you're Hindu and want to take a quick dip in the Ganges but away from the crowds like I did) Food in the restaurant is delicious. Buffet style but with additional fresh items cooked and brought to your table.

Never expected such a nice property in the heart of Haridwar, in between the small lanes. The hotel is a refreshing change on how to experience Haridwar. - Rooms are great - The personal ghat is the best to have a dip in Ganga ji whenever you desire - Escorted view of Ganga Aarti - got amazing places to sit - Elaborate breakfast - We missed the bhajans in the evening - but got good reviews - Extremely polite, helping and professional staff, with no desire of tips for additional services - Pickup from the parking

Awesome experience at Haveli Hari Ganga
First it is an old Haveli (over 120 years old) that has been converted into a boutique hotel. The staff was excellent, polite, well mannered, took time to listen to guests needs and address them. The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Furnished with antique furniture but facilities were of todays standards. The hotel had bunch of activities / programs for guests. Yoga, prayer sessions at the hotel, and evening ceremony at the Ganges, Music performance, Fortune teller, all adding to exotic nature to the stay. Very well planned and everything was done in a timely manner.

only stayed for one night. had to take a rickshaw to the hotel, which is a good experience if you have not been on a cycle rickshaw, we are not fans. the hotel was welcoming and conveniently located by many shops and right on the river. Were able to step into river on ground floor. Restaurant in hotel had amazing food, lunch tray was the best. The walking tour to help navigate the Aarti was our first tour and it was very helpful to have someone tell us what to do in the chaoticness of India celebrations. Overall very good experience

This was a repeat stay. And as per initial stay was not disappointed. Met a few guests who were also repeat. Main selling point is the location and overall ambience. Extras like Hindu priest who tells your fortune can't hurt the Hotel. Food is excellent and freshly prepared - vegetarian

This place is like a beautiful dream
There is nothing like this hotel, maybe being right on the Ganges gives it a special feeling too -- they actually have their own ghat into the river, and nice balcony areas overlooking. The staff is over 1000% excellent, they are so kind and really look after you. The food there is incredible - being in Haridwar, it is vegetarian of course-- if they opened a franchise of their restaurant in new york or the bay area, people would be lined up, have to make reservations a month ahead. They also had live musicians in the evenings, performing bhajans. The hotel and the rooms are really beautiful, it is a stately old building-- a kind of palace. Very comfortable rooms. They have a spa and all sorts of massage, meditation, yoga and ayurvedic kinds of things available for very reasonable. The location is also excellent-- very near har ki pauri ghat, where they do a beautiful Ganga Aarti ceremony, and mansa devi temple, a thriving walkable market area just outside. We were quite sad to leave. One could easily spend at least a week here and rejuvenate, relax and recharge. Hope to come back here some day, it was truly lovely.
