« Great stay. Plenty of room for 5 of us. Quiet. We were only there in the evenings so we didn't make it down to the water and it was too cold for the hot tub. The house was clean. My only complaint is the air fresheners used, they were very strong. We all had watery eyes and dry throats as soon as we walked in the door. The bathroom plumbing isn't quite right and you can sometimes smell sewer gas near there. I think that's why they had they air fresheners so strong. I wouldn't let that stop you...

« We recently had a really enjoyable family Thanksgiving at this home and stayed here for a few days. It was just the getaway we needed and was a very peaceful visit. It was very comfortable inside with a ton of character, and a nice “grandparents cabin” feel to it, but with some modern upgrades. The property was great for our son and dog to freely run around in, and we took a nice walk along the nearby wooded trail that follows a nearby creek that can take you right into the national forest.My...

Because of the size of my daughter's family, they always stay at a B&B when traveling. My daughter said, "This is the nicest place we have ever stayed! « Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Harts Horn! The house had a wonderful deck/hot tub & the deer visited us daily. The house was beautiful & fully stocked with everything you need to cook & bake. We had a fire in the wood burning fireplace & enjoyed this...

« Such a serene, inviting cottage! We enjoyed our peaceful weekend at the mint cottage. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and inviting, and the perfect location to go explore Shenandoah National Park & George Washington National Forest. The kitchen was well-stocked, and it's easy to tell the owner takes great pride in and care of this relaxing space. The walking trails on the property were perfect for the dog too! We will return soon. »
