"The hotel is nice, with clean and well furnished rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Sometime the breakfast room feels busy. There is a paid car park next to the hotel, monitored by extremely quick wardens. There is covered car park at the back of the hotel. The view on the harbour is nice, but tend to be covered by cruise ships between 4am and 4pm. The landing point for cruise ships is just outside the hotel, so there is quite a lot of traffic in the morning because of the deboaring passengers coming for a day visit to Alesund"

"We had a brilliant room overlooking the waterfront with a full glazed screen; I would say 50% of the rooms offering a view of the waterfront have such glazing and the rest will offer a view through a smaller standard window. The communal lounge with its enormous modern feature fire place offered heat from a continual log burning fire was a nice addition and there were a variety of good seating areas elsewhere."

"I had a great stay at Hotel 1904. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent with a great selection to start the day. The only downside was that the rooms were a little warm since there isn’t air conditioning, which made sleeping a bit less comfortable. Other than that, everything was great, and I’d happily stay here again."
