Great buffet breakfast, helpful n friendly staff gave kind recommendations. Negative… the tub shower design made it impossible to keep the floor dry. All said, a great value!!

A great hotel to explore Hanoi from
We had a great stay at the Thien Thai Hotel. It's located in an excellent part of the city, walking distance from the Old Quarter. The hotel room we had was really nice and the buffet breakfast was first rate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular, we had really excellent customer service from Linh at the reception who arranged for a local SIM card to be delivered to the hotel for us. Nothing was too much trouble - thanks Linh!

A beautiful hotel in a great location. The staffs were so accommodating and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Our room is spacious and clean, nicely decorated, big window with a good view of the old quarter. Highly recommended. Will come back soon.

Great hotel!
Great location in the heart of Hanoi. Easily walk to all parts of the city. Fantastic value and a very large room. Great breakfast buffet. Would stay again.

Average interior but good service.
Overall, good service. Lovely porter walked me to my next hotel to save me carrying my suitcase. Clean and sizeable bedroom. Fairly old fashioned in decor and the bathroom could do with updating.

The location was perfect. There wasn't very much traffic. The fact that there were more locals was cool. We were near places that had amazing food. The room was not worth the price. Although it was modern, the air conditioner did not work in one of the rooms. It was 99 degrees and my kids were sweating and they had mosquito bites on their faces. The staff was friendly and helpful, but we spent most of the night having someone coming in and checking the air conditioner which is annoying when you are jet lagged

My shower didn’t drain properly, it flooded the bathroom floor and I had to keep turning the shower off and wait for the water to go down the drain. Booked it specifically for the gym - gym was ok. But for the price I paid I was expecting the hotel/room to be a bit nicer.

Clean well taken care of and close to some sites
Generally well located for wet and dry markets, two large, hard to find restaurants that are open without reservations. Many little stores, some Circle K near by. KFC two blocks away, didn’t try. Hotel staff very helpful with directions etc. rooms very clean and spacious. Ladies clean floors daily on hands and knees. Breakfast quite adequate with Pho soup as well as hot foods and several breads. Wait staff very attentive. Streets torn up and scooters are parked on sidewalks making walking a challenge at times. Would stay here again.

Delightful!!
This was in the historic Old Quarter of Hanoi. We were within walking distance to many important sites. The hotel itself was charming. There was a flight of stairs leading to the entrance but when we arrived at 1:30 am we were greeted by bell boys who carried our luggage up. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Besides having eggs to order, there was a nice selection of Asian and Western dishes along with many fresh fruits. The staff at the front desk was very helpful with our questions. Our room had a balcony, comfortable king bed, refrigerator, safe, large desk area and 2 easy chairs. The bathroom had a large shower and no lack of hot water or water pressure.

Lovely old hotel with charm and grace

Great location, good food, friendly and helpful staff? The room was clean and very comfortable and included a safe, refrigerator, WiFi, hair dryer and some fresh fruit. It was a great start to my 3 week Vietnam vacation.

4 Star Hotel Needs Improvement
Arrived around 9:30pm. Checked in, went to room, came back down to hotel restaurant to eat. Website and room brochure said it closed at 10pm. However, they stop taking orders at 9:20pm. They referred me to a restaurant/bar next to them. The restaurant/bar did not serve food - which the hotel staff should have known. The bathroom in the room was not very clean. The shower curtain was stuck together and had mildew on it at the bottom. I had put on the 'do not disturb' light and was interrupted 3 times by housekeeping, staff with a gift (food) and a phone call from reception. Early on Sunday morning I received a 5:30am wake up call. They called the wrong room! The 10th floor is very loud in the morning due to housekeeping restocking their carts, loud talking. While the staff were friendly, it was a disappointing 4 Star experience.

Beautiful building, a bit hidden on the street, Google Map pin might be deceiving. Overall good, I have couple notes: we have arrived way too early for a check-in, left the baggage in the reception and went for breakfast; when we came back at the check-in time, I would have expected our bags already in the room, not laying where we left them for us to carry. The sauna and jacuzzi are nice, but the sauna's temperature of 54° C is not enough and the layout of the wellness room doesn't make any sense. The breakfast is nice, and I believe the suite must be beautiful.

practical, close to the center of town (20 min)
although staff was not fluent in english or french, we manage to be understood. Breakfast is varied and offered in North American, Continental and Asian versions so you can experiment. During the TËT holiday the dining room remained open with reservation, so it was possible to eat a nice meal because most restaurent were closed. the overall experience was good and pleasant.

great services and good breakfast. close to city centre, at walking distance there are restaurants, convenience stores. only the bed is a bit soft, but room is big and comfy, hot water available. as a ~50usd per night experience, def worth the price.

二樓有SAUNA JACUZZI 很舒服 完全免費使用 用了兩次 還有烤箱 可是蒸氣室沒有開 可能是年久失修了 一樓有抬高半層 行動不變者可能不是那麼方便 早餐不錯 有提供現煮河粉 味道不錯 正門口是個學校 房間若是正對的學校 早上七點多就有廣播 可能會有點干擾 這次入住 因為之前有些經驗 東南亞地區某些酒店 熱水溫度不夠高 所以先試水溫 結果溫度真的只有溫水 後來反應過後 他幫我升等到一間有廚房的套間 水溫就很夠 適合想泡泡澡的 服務人員都很親切 都不用問就馬上寄住客戶 真的很不錯的服務 越南很多車子亂喊價 所以出門請酒店幫忙叫車 到機場就是公定價300000 我從機場來搭乘共乘小巴就被敲了200000
