There was a unforeseen complication around my booking, but the staff was very proactive and upgraded my booking. The room was spacious and clean, and I liked the option of turning on the heather, because it is very cold at this time of year in Hanoi. The highlight of my stay was the staff, everyone is extremely courteous and friendly, including Stacy who helped me with my booking and answered my questions. Sophia is the friendliest hotel worker I have had the chance to meet. She has such a kind heart and she is very knowledgeable about activities to do around Hanoi. Thank you for all your help and for being outsanding at your job.

Great staff, not 4* but comfortable

Booked a junior suite and, in fairness, a 4* hotel shouldn‘t have broken glass in the room divider and the fancy jacuzzi bathtub with all the nozzles and levers would have been even better if it worked. The plumbing and aircon noises throughout the hotel werel like a fairground haunted house so there isn’t way it deserved a 4 star rating. But I didn‘t book here to stay in the room and the location in the Old Quarter is perfect. The room was big and the large bed very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as many 3* hotels I stayed in. The front desk staff were lovely, always friendly and helpful as was the poor girl running the breakfast room on her own.

The room was advertised as a “superior” room. It was very small and cramped with not a lot of space. It was barely big enough for the bed. The elevators also had a very peculiar smell inside them.

Hostel rather then a hotel

My wife and I made a 7 weeks roundtrip to South East Asia and Hanoi was our final stop. First night in Hanoi we stayed at O’Gallery Premier Hotel which was an excellent hotel across the street. Then we went on a cruise and when we came back we had booked Beryl Charm Hotel for 5 nights (due to lack of availability of previous hotel). Beryl Charm Hotel was by far the least pleasant stay on our journey. After the first night we tried to cancel the booking via Expedia/Hotels.com. This was not possible according to the hotel manager. In our room we had a strong smell from the kitchen especially when opening the window. The beds were quite poor and too soft. One evening we had to catch a lizzard in our room. Breakfast was included, with a quality on par with the hotel. Plates were missing, the coffee and fruit were out, etc. They advertise the hotel to be a 4 star hotel, I would classify it as a 1 star hotel or rather a hostel. If you want a decent hotel avoid this place, if you prefer a costly hostel you can go for this.

A L'arrivé , on nous dit que l'hotel est plein et qu'on doit aller dans un autre hotel qui appartient au meme groupe , que l'autre hotel se trouve a 10 min de la . Je regarde sur hotels.ca et je vois encore des chambres libres pour le soir meme. Tres bizarre et j'avoue que ca laisse un gout amer de devoir se battre pour obtenir la chambre qu'on a reservé et finalement apres avoir dit qu'on ne bougerait pas d'hotel , la comme par hasard une chambre vient de se liberer ! !
