My husband and I have traveled a fair amount all over the US. We have stayed at some really cool, unique places. This by far takes the cake as our favorite. The historic property has been lovingly restored by the host and filled with gorgeous antiques. It's like stepping back in time or staying at a museum. The place is absolutely enchanting! We liked it so much that we added another day to our stay. Don't worry there's modern amenities like wifi and TVs. However, we didn't feel the need to use them. The host is very nice and knowledgeable of the history of the home and items in it. He was quick to respond and kind enough to accommodate the additional night on short notice. We fell in love with this home and the town of Hannibal. We are definitely coming back as often as we are able. Highly recommend! ##### Stephanie L. No clear directions as to where to park, entry to the house was on the side where, supposedly, we were not supposed to park. code for house not given until approximately 1/2 hour before check in time, outdoors had overgrown weeds and a dirty blanket on a rusted bench, no WiFi code or check out instructions, dirty and rusted drip pans under burners, coffee stain on cupboard door, sticky substance on place mats, debris in freezer, curtains held together with tape, tooth brush holder unsanitary, candy wrapper and candy stick under couch cushions (we were attempting to fluff the sagging cushions to make it comfortable to sit on when it was discovered), both tissue boxes were completely empty and there was no shampoo, body wash or a hair dryer, which are fairly common amenities.
