We used hotels.com to book this time and did not know we had to request breakfast. But there’s a great coffee shop just a couple blocks away, so it was not an inconvenience. Chris was very communicative for our check in and gave us a lot of the history of the house as well as tips for the area. That was particularly helpful as we'd never been to Hannibal. The house was very clean, the semi private bathroom was in great condition, the bed was so comfy and we were even given bathrobes! We had breakfast 2 days and Chris is a wonderful cook. We hardly used the car as most of downtown Hannibal is just a few blocks away. They are very up front that the house is home to a couple cats, one of which was our little shadow for the weekend. They are very sweet and caused us no issues, but it's something to be aware of. Great old house, they have cats. But the cats are very friendly and love to great the guests. (No cat box smell in house) House is clean, it's an old house, so it does have its squeeks. Nice history is told to guests about the house & the original owners. Chris was a professional chef, so breakfast is guaranteed to be delicious.
