The home is thoughtfully appointed in even small, but important ways. For example there are several coolers and travel coffee mugs, which are small but essential items if you are flying in. Cindy the owner/host is excellent about communication and will do her best to ensure an enjoyable stay. We had one very minor issue with a remote and she made sure a new TV remote was available that day. While that level of effort was not necessary given it was the bedroom TV, I think it is indicative of the commitment she has in ensuring the lodging part of your visit will not be a concern if you book this property. ##### Charles B. Cute cabin that felt like a home, had literally everything we wanted. Fully stocked kitchen, even had travel mugs to take coffee up to see the Cadillac sunrise! Plenty of space to spread out and games to entertain during downtime. Basement is a bit damp and could use a dehumidifier but using a fan to blow dry air from upstairs helped. The upstairs was well appointed and worked beautifully for our family. The master bedroom was beautiful as well as the master bath. As well as an additional bathroom, The upstairs kitchen and living room worked perfectly for our family time together. The basement was a great addition as a playroom for the boys and the star wars arcade game was a big hit. The only negative thing about inside was the humidity in the basement that brought a smell and humidity in the bedroom that my wife and I stayed in. The outdoor firepit area and the walking trail were definitely a good bonus as well. We would definitely stay there again if we did not need the bedroom basement. ##### Mike M. Location is really great for Acadia and Bar Harbor. Amenities were very good. There is a steep spiral staircase going to the basement that we were not aware of until we arrived, that can be tricky for older folks or those scared of heights like me. Two of the sleeping spaces are in the basement, so best to be aware of the staircase. The house is well stocked to meet all your needs. A couple of the bedrooms don't have air conditioning and were quite hot during our stay but there were fans that helped. I'm sure Maine isn't normally so hot but this July it was. Beds in two extra bedrooms are very firm. Master bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. All in all, this is very nice home and the owner has taken extra steps to make sure everything is well stocked and ready for an enjoyable stay. Quick communication too. The kitchen was fully stocked and had essentials you would forget to pack, such as ziplock bags, coolers to use and Tupperware. The house is decorated with a nautical theme and it is adorable. The spiral staircase was little scary at first but we got used to it. Probably not a good idea for little ones. My brother and his family stayed downstairs and my four stayed upstairs. We enjoyed having our own spaces but wish we could’ve all fit together better in the upstairs kitchen/living room. It was a bit tight for 8 but would be a fantastic house for 4 or 6\. Great location out of traffic of Bar Harbor but with easy access to Schoodic Peninsula, Bar Harbor, Acadia, and other side of MDI. House was clean with a cute little welcome basket. Didn't use gaming set up but wifi was excellent. All things needed in kitchen. House is on a well-trafficed road but didn't notice it once inside. Two bedrooms are on the main floor with one bedroom having the en suite bathroom. The 3rd bedroom and bunk beds are in the basement and accessible with spiral staircase with a shared bathroom. Liked the box for dirty shoes !The kids loved the bunk beds and a huge pillow on the floor. No dishwasher, but we wash items usually by hand … not enough to fill dishwasher. So no big deal for us. Easy chk in and out. We could have done more to help at check out. It was about 30 mins to Acadia but the host told me that by email before we booked.
