When we got there, they only had 1 room for us. The manager on duty responded promptly and ended up finding a second room in a nearby resort. It’s just hard to imagine how you can pay that much money for something and get there and not have a room to stay in. The upgrade to the resort was nice— however we were put in a 1 king room, when we had originally reserved a 2 queen room. (There were 4 of us.) When checking out of the resort, the resort demanded that we pay $35 per cot (2) that they had to bring to the room so everyone had a place to sleep. The other room we had at Hana Kai was okay— it was sufficient. There were kids around and very little sound was shielded by the walls. Also no television to drown out any sound. Hammering and such ! Extremely irritating. ! And online it says 4 pm check in and at the front desk there is a sign that says 2 pm check in . I will never stay here again or suggest in to friends we come often to Maui and our friends . I’m disappointed considering it’s a clean and cute condo in a great location but the mess up with checking in and the construction leaves me very upset . ##### Yesenia A.
