Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to Waianapenapa State Park. The instructions to pick keys up after office hours were clear and easy to follow. Only thing that made us feel awkward was a secret hideout above the living/bedroom. It had access to a door but there was no ladder, my kids felt uneasy as if someone could be hiding up there. We were able to stay at the black sand beach late, eat at Hana Ranch Restaurant, and get up early to do the Pipiwai Trail and beaches after Hana before reversing our route back to West Maui. This unit has a beautiful view of the harbor and served its purpose well. The mattress was good. The decor is dated but we were only there for a few hours to sleep. I appreciate this property allowing one night stays. ##### Jenny N. Property was good overall Locals were very unfriendly, made us a little weary of going places. Homeless encampment on the beach of the property was a total turn off! That should be taken care of.
