Welcome to our home in the heart of Hana right above Hana Bay. Come relax in this 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom main house featuring a fully equipped kitchen. The cozy living space is perfect for visiting or watching a movie. A 4-person dining table and spacious covered deck are ideal for evening dinners with friends or reading a book on the lounger. Surrounded by lush greenery, convenient washer and dryer and the perfect central location, you are going to love our Hana Bay View home. \*One item you might not have considered is the importance of travel insurance that covers a variety of situations, including, but not limited to, your rental expenses should you decide or need to cancel for reasons such as poor weather or leaving early for an emergency. In addition there are options for medical coverage during your trip. We could not find accommodations anywhere in the island driving into Kahului area. We had 2 nights stay in this house in Hana. The property manager was kind and helpful. She accommodated us downstairs which is usually for family until our unit was ready to occupy. They had guests staying there. We had a peaceful rest of our vacation and extremely thankful. We spent one day getting to Hana, exploring waterfalls and the beautiful tropical gardens along the way, a whole day at Ohe'o Gulch / Pipiwai Trail, and Wai'anapanapa State Park, and the third day with some wonderful remote beaches and the drive back to Kihei. This home is comfortable and nicely furnished, with many amenities. Be sure and bring your own food as there isn't much to find on this side of the island! So this was a great location if you want to cut out some driving for a Hana Highway trip or other stuff on the east side of the island. Nice place. Clean and functional. Both beds were slightly tilted but comfortable. Has everything you need for breakfast or lunch as far as coffee pot, skillets, utensils, etc,. You will absolutely need to fill up a cooler from a grocery store in one of the bigger cities like Kahilui. There is a general store in Hana that has some things if needed. Nice TV in the place with cable. Wireless internet was spotty. But really the main complaint was not the fault of the house, it was the barking dogs in the neighborhood. There were several barking dogs ALL NIGHT LONG that seemed to be scattered around. Thankfully not in an adjacent house but close enough that they are definitely heard. Bummer because you need to sleep with the windows open since there is no A/C. Did not need A/C but then you get to hear the dogs. Brook, the owner, was very helpful and responsive. Mar 11, 2014 #### As presented, but may i suggest... we were looking at the last minute in the high season, so my choices were limited. Having said that, Brook was very nice to deal with, the photos were accurate, the kitchen was well equipped, it was clean, lovely location--and i loved having the open pastures on the uphill side of the road. However, I probably would require one of two things to rent this property again: Either comfortably finish furnishing it, or lower the price point to be competitive with the more budget properties in the area. The bedrooms each had one night table and lamp, two would be the norm, especially for king room. And there was not one other furnishing in bedrooms--a table, chair or dresser to put your things on. The living room did not even have a lamp or end table( and the TV they stated was coming a month ago was not there, not that we cared or expected it). And that furniture was too uncomfortable to even sit on! There still was no curtain on the other front room window(we put up a sheet). And the tub/tile still needs a good cleaning(how about a nice shower curtain over the shower liner?). Some pictures or more "decor" would be nice, though not as necessary. So, again, it was accurately portrayed, but those would be my honest assessments--lower price or better and more complete furnishing! ##### Teri G. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Scott M. Oct 30, 2022 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Good AC, not sure the towels were washed There is not too much to choose from in this area and the condo was fine for our brief stay with 2 exceptions. One good thing is there was an AC unit in each of the bedrooms which was wonderful compared to other places we stayed during our trip. But I had two concerns during my stay. First, there were too many tiny bugs in the condo. I suppose it is expected in the tropical area (based on the owners comments about “critters” in their instructions) but was not something I was comfortable with. Also, not exactly crazy about lizards climbing the interior walls (happened twice). The most concerning thing was when I went to use a towel, there was a questionable dried stain on it and I noticed that the other towel from the bottom rack I pulled it from was folded in half rather than trifold. We did not use either of the towels from that rack because I am pretty sure they had not been washed between tenants. Ew. Overall, it was adequate but I would not stay again for those 2 reasons. ##### Marjorie M. We only stayed two short nights, but after a long drive on the Road to Hana, we were so glad to have a clean, cozy, convenient home to pile into and rest from the travel. It had all the necessities, including AC in the two bedrooms. The balcony was amazing to sit and watch the rain roll in each day, and the breezes helped keep the rest of the home cool. The kitchen was well-stocked and we even used the dryer (outside) to quickly dry our wet suits and towels. Parking was just fine for our single vehicle, and access was perfect. Some have said the main road location caused a bit of noise, but we didn't notice it at night, only in the day, which didn't bother us, as we were only there for short periods of time between stops. The TV (streaming) and internet worked well, the ceiling fans rattled a bit, and the bugs came out at night if you left food around (so don't!). We would stay here again if we decided to do Hana next time! ##### Duane R.
