I changed rooms four times. Ended up in one which stank of smoke and had a sofa bed taking up a large part of the room. The curtains didn't fully close either. I had an early start and was assured by the manager I could get breakfast at 0600. I couldn't. For the price £129 it was appalling and I will never stay there again. I visit Portsmouth regularly and will try a different hotel next time.

I booked this hotel as a pool was listed as one of the hotels facilities. Upon arriving, the receptionist said that there was no pool. This hotel is still listed as having access to a pool, so I'm not sure where the pool was. The receptionist wasn't forthcoming with the details. The breakfast was plentiful and the parking very cheap.The proximity to Gun Wharf a bonus. The day we stayed the roof leaked due to a storm (October), and there was no heating or hot water. We were given a late check out as compensation. An okay stay marred by the leak and no pool.

Great location and lovely restaurants. Hotel a bit tired but staff very helpful. Heating not working in our room but they found us plug in heater. Bedside table missing which we did report. Breakfast good and nice to get parking included.

Good value and location
Room was comfortable and spacious enough for our needs. Breakfast was plentiful, although it had been sat for a while before we ate (towards the end of the sitting). Good value.

The cleaners had clearly seen that our room heating wasn’t working so gave us a plug in one but when we arrived room was freezing cold baring in mind it was freezing outside aswell. So we plugged the heater in and it barely warmed up and we couldn’t leave it on over night as it’s a fire hazard so had to sleep on the freezing cold woke up even more cold than we started the evening . And our room door we had to slam to shut and we only noticed this in the morning so the door possibly wasn’t shut fully all night

Another great stay at holiday inn, gunwarf quays. Beds were comfy and breakfast was delicious. They left a card in the room for my husbands birthday 😊

Not as good as normal we had a really small bed this time, small double, the room was way too hot couldn’t get it lower than 21 degrees so slept really bad both nights, breakfast items kept running out. Wonder if we were given this room as used Tesco vouchers to pay rather than cash? Shower had no power couldn’t get shampoo out of my hair. Won’t be returning

Very friendly, helpful staff, the location ideal for shopping, dining and sights. Rooms clean and comfortable and breakfast choices good. Only negative was young children running around the bar after midnight.

Terrible quality hard product
Really uncomfortable bed. Hotel room generally in poor condition. Quite good staff but that does not make up for the very poor quality hard product. Probably better off staying in the Travelodge down the road for half the price.
