Front Desk Staff, especially Ed, were fabulous...kind, friendly and helpful.The view from my room was spectacular of the boardwalk, park and lake. There is a problem with weeekend parking at the hotel. As there is a restaurant and hall on the premises, I could not get a parking spot on the Saturday night.

We went for our Anniversary & our experience was horrible, we ended up going home. When we arrived we were supposed to be in room 522 & the staff were going to do a little something special for our Anniversary but they didnt have it saved in their notes even though i called 2 days prior to make sure everything was a go! We were given room 222 & when we got off the elevator on the second floor i couldnt believe the filth in the carpets leading to our room, the hallway had a terrible smell...we get in our room & it reeks of wet dog, dark brown stains all over the carpet & theres tons of little bugs flying around. I immediately opened the window to vent out the smell as my husband & i were killing these flying bugs every second to try and get rid of them, they were on the tv, the walls, all in the bathroom. We left for a few hours in hopes that it would air out but when we got back the smell didnt change & there were so many more little flying bugs. I cannot believe what we seen, we've been to this hotel in previous years to celebrate our Anniversary and have always had the best experience. I literally left in tears as this is one day we look forward to every year & it was ruined. The front desk said they couldnt refund me as a manager was not in until Monday. Saying im upset is an understatement, we had to arrange babysitting for our children and spent a fortune at the Port House restaurant at the hotel just to go home in tears on one of the most important nights for us.

Lack of parking was a big issue - having to park 3 blocks away was not a plaisant experience. Maybe having some arrangements with some parking lot near by would make it better. Also when advertising City View, having the view of the the top of the restaurant beside with their AC on the roof does not make it for a great city view. Maybe there was a disclaimer that it didn't see.

We got there at 1pm and was too early to check in which was fine. We went to front desk and the guy told us our cars were fine in the lot but didnt give us anything. We went back a few hours later to check in and the one car had a ticket. We complained to front desk and they said there was nothing they could do and were not helpful even though they were the one who told us the cars would be ok.

This is a consistently great accommodation choice for us.The staff are wonderful—special shoutout to Ed and Jatin at the front desk—these two employees are always pleasant and super helpful. Terrific restaurants and loads of gelato shops within a block. Plus great location to get outside for a walk.
