Named after the original estate owner Virginia Hand Callaway, this one-bedroom villa is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for one special couple seeking a private space to enjoy each other's company as well as all that surrounds this property. You will love every detail of this villa which has been totally renovated to include the most modern features, but honorably keeps its historic charm apparent. From the front porch swing to the fully stocked beautiful kitchen to the large private deck and hot tub, the large glassed shower and double bathroom sinks, as well as two fireplaces, this villa is sure to meet all expectations! The One and Only Bedroom- The Master- is appointed with a beautiful king bed with tufted headboard, a new comfortable mattress, beautiful nightstands, and reading lamps. Outlets for chargers are situated close by- we know this is important. There is a ceiling fan, bench, full-length mirror, gas log fireplace, TV with apps and wifi, as well as closet and stacked washer dryer! It is a beautiful "mountain air blue" with lots of natural light and plantation shutters. Just gorgeous! The Bathroom has a large "get ready" space with a double sink vanity. There is an oversized wall mirror and lots of drawers and counter space for your items. (Perfect for a bridal makeup area) Lots of natural light as well! The large subway-tiled shower has a glass door and a built-in seat/bench. The shower/toilet area is separate from the vanity area making it very ideal for couples. The Living space is such the cutest part of the villa! In hues of greens and neutrals, we love the coziness of this space, furniture, and fireplace. It makes for a "grand entrance" in a small space! The Kitchen. Ohhh the kitchen! This kitchen is immaculate! Very trendy yet appropriate for the updated look of this villa. The very large island with seating was preferred over table space. It is perfect for food prep, displaying meals, or conversing with drinks. And this kitchen should have anything you would possibly need! The woodland green matte finish backsplash tile is a favorite detail! The Back Deck off the kitchen is grand! It is oversized with a hot tub that overlooks the private wooded back area. It also has the perfect lounging space with beautiful outdoor furniture to enjoy coffee and drinks outside. Property amenities include fishing, paddle boarding, peddle boating, kayaking, and canoeing! Use the grand field for games and family fun and sit by the large firepit in the evenings. The villa is one bedroom but has a full-size kitchen and a large deck for entertaining a few day guests. Since the home is also part of the National Historic Registry of homes the owners also offer a guided tour upon request. The owner's indoor heated pool is also available for use with a fee of $150 per day charge to heat. Private chef experience and use of veranda at main house available through inquiry. Virginia’s Villa is walking distance from Cason’s Cabin which sleeps 8 if you would like to travel with family or friends, Property ID 9060439\. The outdoors offers plenty to enjoy! Take in the beautiful views of the mountain, lake, and the 5 acres of lush forest surrounding the cabin. Fish on the lake where past Presidents have fished, Franklin D Roosevelt, Dwight D. The Villa is situated a short walk down the private drive from the private historical residence also located on the property, The Lodge at Blue Springs Farms. This large log home is where Cason and Virginia Callaway lived and retired for over 40 years. Enjoy your coffee on the front porch swing or back watching nature, and in the afternoon with cocktails as the sun sets. Use the fully stocked kitchen to prepare meals or drive a short 5 minutes to one of the areas best steakhouses around! People from 3 surrounding counties drive here for a fine tasty dinner, in a relaxed off-road pub and restaurant, appropriately named "Hunter's Pub". (Other nearby favorites include: San Marcos-Authentic Mexican food ) The unique setting and history of this Villa and property make it a desirable place to stay when visiting nearby Callaway Gardens during holiday weekends, weddings, and other events. Very comfortable and beautiful. Cottage is showing some signs of maintenance needs—squirrels very active in attic and inside roof, and fireplaces seemed to run out of propane mid-weekend. Kitchen missing some key items like functional coffee maker and mixing bowls. All in all very nice though. ##### Timothy M. The grounds were beautiful & the cabin has been updated with nice furnishings & fixtures. You can see the owner’s lodge from the cabin but you have a private deck off of the back of the rental. Communication with the owner was easy & we enjoyed watching the sun set over the lake from their veranda. Kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook a meal & the hot tub was a bonus. There is a shared fire pit (if someone is renting the other cabin) but we didn’t have time to try it out. Maybe next time! ##### Catherine T. We were able to cook meals in the kitchen, enjoy both fireplaces, and take a dip in the hot tub. It is a cute, property that has been updated. The estate is beautiful. We did have some trouble getting in. We were told the key would be left under the porch mat. We arrived after dark, there were no lights on, and the key was no located under any of the mats. After about 10 minutes of fumbling in the dark, we tried the door and it was unlocked at both entrances. Based on the location, it would be tough for someone to enter without notice of the property owners, but it does not make you feel comfortable arriving to a dark, unlocked cabin. There were also a lot of people coming an going constantly on the property... cars, trucks, golf carts, 4 wheeler. The listing makes you think this is secluded, and while it is on a private estate, the cabin is directly behind a main house with people constantly coming and going. The last thing I will add is that the day before we arrived, we received an extremely long list of house rules. While you should be able to have any rules you want for your own property, renters deserve to know your expectations up front. It should have been posted in the listing. Some of these rules may have deterred us from staying at this property. ##### Jessica N. The listing cannot convey the beauty if this place. The owners are friendly and helpful. The rental is private but located on their property which happens to be a historic estate previously owned by the Callaways of Callaway Gardens. You will be hard pressed to find a place or experience like this. My husband and I are in absolutely in love and can't wait to come back. My husband fished on the lake. Just incredible. Breathtaking. We came to the area to attend a friend's wedding at the Oakhurst Wedding Venue, less than 20 minutes away. This Villa and property were exactly what my husband and I needed to unplug, unwind, and enjoy each other's company. It was so quiet outside relaxing in the hot tub or on the front porch swing. We enjoyed our walk around the beautiful property. The villa was so clean and the bed was super comfortable. If we find ourselves in need of a weekend away again or in the Columbus GA area, we will absolutely check the availability of this place again. It was awesome! ##### Katie S. My husband and I enjoy seclusion and privacy, especially on stay-cations, and WOW does this property fit the bill! We stayed 1 night, so we didn’t make time to enjoy the lake nor access to the pool that is that is attached to the property owners' home just feet away from the villa, but the top of the line hot tub that is located on the villa's patio was MORE than sufficient! And OMG, the first-class gas grill was divine! And let me not fail to mention that the owner is responsive, accommodating and welcoming! I HIGHLY recommend! ##### Kesha H. I wanted a cabin rental feel but with luxury amenities and Virginias Villa delivers just that!! Amazing option for a solo trip or couples getaway. The property is amazing and the owners cut no corners when designing the villa. It’s very much cabin meets farmhouse chic and a southern girls dream!!!
