Everything was very good, as the hotel was in walking distance of three Xmas markets, but the cost of breakfast was prohibitive - Euro 32 per person.

My room was on the 7th floor and had to up stairs to the room which is really uncomfortable and not Upto the mark of Marriot associated hotels

Great stay. They're air conditioning was not working in the entire building, so they gave us a room upgrade, free breakfast, and a fan. Pretty much everything they could do for what was an unfortunate situation. So we were content with that. The room was warm, but we did ok.

The location is excellent, but the hotel was covered in scaffolding yet no work was being undertaken. We couldn’t get any hot water for more than 24 hours as the hotels hot water system was down. We had to wait for almost one hour to get a drink from the bar and after 35 minutes waiting to get the bill for our meal and drinks (The hotels Bricks Bar and Restaurant) we left and paid when we returned at midnight because no one was there to pay. Then we met Nay - the daytime bar tender! She was friendly, knew exactly what we wanted, and provided excellent service with a smile. She was so efficient and competent that we kept coming back when she was working.

Excellent bar staff
Really nice hotel, staff were great everywhere. Quality of food in the restaurant was good but not a diverse menu, plenty of great alternatives close by so I wouldn't judge it for that

The staff was amazing, we had to leave very early to the airport but they prepared us a breakfast box so we can eat it on the way. Very nice people, i wll stay there again.

Super helpful during a tricky time in Hamburg - strike of airport workers. Much more helpful than Expedia who did not lift a finger to help. In other words, the hotel is strongly recommended. But book directly or through an alternative vendor to Expedia. Expedia asked me to change my review. Not sure why 😂. Sorry Expedia. Since I couldn’t find any obvious way to express my dissatisfaction (except via another lengthy painful and ineffective chat session - it would be my 4th in 24hrs), I am using this review to pass the message. Disappointed.
Most importantly, the rooms are not sound proof. I heard the next rooms conversation, clearly, well into the night and was unable to sleep. Really surprised about this because I thought I was staying somewhere really nice. There was a bit of an odor in the hallways and tye carpeting in the room is stained and old. The staff is very nice and professional. Decent food from the bar.

The staff were very helpfull,especially Mr Kuda & Mr Mats, the Receptionists. They were really very nice. We appreciated our laughed & chatted. The AC in the room was not working properly. No kettle in the room. The breakfast was ok, could be better. The hotel situated in the shopping area.
