Spotlessly clean, piping hot water, own car park alongside the unit. Delicious full English breakfast. I expected a nice country inn but was astonished with this place. The staff were welcoming and delightful. I dined with friends living locally so only had breakfast. Great situation looking right over River Blyth. Look for the illuminated church if arriving after dark. The roadside location is very convenient. Due to ongoing refurbishment breakfast was at a sister venue down the road but that was fine and there was no other disruption from the works. The rooms are in a converted stable block behind so you feel nicely isolated and away from the road, and there is a scenic waterside view from the rear window.
