Very close and easy to find after long rail journey. Very prompt check in. Very helpful staff. Free minibar was well stocked. Complimentary breakfast was excellent buffet. Great bed with soft pillows. Everything we wanted and rxpectef.
This hotel as 3 strong points: its proximity to the messe - so you can walk there, the rooms are large by German standards so you have space, and it has very good transport connections. As a bonus a very decent breakfast service.
There are major drawbacks included: its in a working class neighbourhood, its very noisy and busy, there is no restaurant service in the hotel and no decent ones close by. And the hotel really needs a major reno job and soon.
Lastly, if you are used to traveling under the Wyndham brand in North America - which I am - this is a surprisingly different experience for the all the reasons above noted. Generally Tryp can work but its simply not consistent with Wyndham's North American branding - so its confusing.
Under North American standards - this is a 2 star hotel - point finale.
"Clean modern hotel near Frankfurt Central Station"
This is the second time staying at the Flemings Hotel, and overall the experience was great. The room is modern and comfortable, the bathroom great, and the location near the train station is practical. The breakfast buffet is one of the best around. They prepare you eggs to order, and there is a large selection of delicious things to eat.
The only problem was that the Wifi stopped working mid-visit, and the staff indicated there was no one around to fix the problem. However, towards the end of my stay it started to work again.
I've been staying overnight in Frankfurt on my many European travels, and usually choose one of the hotels near the train station. This hotel is not as close to the Hauptbahnhof as many others I've stayed in previously, but I didn't mind the extra walk. There is a U-Bahn station a couple of blocks away, and the Skyline shopping mall just around the corner.
It is a new hotel and it still has the "new building" smell. The rooms are quite spacious (for European standards) and clean. The bed was comfy, and the street noise level is very low, which made for a nice sleep. WiFi worked well, although the Internet connection was noticeably slowing down at times.
Overall, I quite liked this hotel and will be staying there in the future.
Nice designer hotel, with friendly staff.
Rooms are nice with high ceilings and some facing out onto a quiet courtyard.
Breakfast was excellent and the highlight of the hotel.
Design aesthetic is a personal matter but for me it was a little too minimalist and lacked detail.
I booked this hotel as it was closer to my office. The room size was ok and the building is being repainted when i stayed. Breakfast was good on weekend but on weekday was average with not much option. No elevators that was the drawback but otherwise the stay was comfortable. The hotel is good for short stay.
