**Newly renovated**

Wall Street sits closer to the Gulf than all of the homes nearby, giving it a very private and secluded feel. Many of our guests continue to rent Wall Street because of this great feature. Wall Street also has access to the beachfront pool that serves the other three beachfront homes we have next door. This beachfront home features 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, and comfortably accommodates 8 guests. 
About Wall Street

Inside, you will find the main living area, kitchen, dining area, and living room all directly beachfront.  The views and sounds of the Gulf literally fill this entire space.

The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has a king bed and a full private bathroom.  These are the only rooms on the second floor that give you ample privacy.  The other two bedrooms are downstairs and both have queen beds.  We also provide a sleeper sofa to sleep 2 in the living area. 

The Backstory of This Property and Its Amenities

You might ask how such a uniquely Southern beach cottage came to have the name of Wall Street. This home is next door to Wings of Eagles and for years Steve Harris had tried to convince the owner to sell him the property but he would not part with it. In 1989 the owner of Wall Street, the house was not yet named at this time, came to Steve after having had a particularly rough year in the stock market. The owner needed funds and sold the house to Steve. Fittingly, Steve named the house Wall Street. 

Owned by Becky Harris, Wall Street has beachfront accessibility and is just steps away from a resort-style community pool. It’s also located conveniently close by a myriad of other vacation rentals available through Harris Vacation Rentals, including Stuck in the Sand, This’ll Do, That’ll Do, Driftwood Inn, Wings of Eagle, Summer Wind, Summer of 42, and Pelican Paradise. When you’re in need of additional accommodations for your large party of family or friends, reserving one of these fantastic properties along with Wings of Eagles is an excellent choice, as it provides everyone with enough privacy and space in order to fully enjoy their vacation.

About Fort Morgan

Beyond this wonderful home and its features, Fort Morgan has much to offer. Take in the intriguing history and scenic hiking of the Fort Morgan Historic Site on a day trip. Rent a boat or boat slip from Gulf Shores Marina and head out on the water from the Fort Morgan Public Boat Launch. Or try your hand at reeling in a record-breaking fish at the Fort Morgan or Gulf Shores Marina fishing piers. The marina also provides a bait shop onsite for your convenience.

Indulge your palate in Fort Morgan’s mouthwatering local cuisine at either the iconic Tacky Jack’s Restaurant, which serves freshly caught seafood with unbeatable views of the gulf on the side, or at Sassy Bass Restaurant, where you’ll also find both a general store and a package store available for your every possible need while on vacation. Don’t forget to order yourself one of Sassy Bass Restaurant’s takeout pizza.

Rental Age Policy
We love people of all ages, and we want everyone to enjoy our homes.  However, we do require that an adult 25 years or older reserve the home and be present at the home during your entire stay. We do not rent to anyone under the age of 25.  We have no exception to this policy.

The location and proximity to the beach is unmatched. The check in/out process was easy and communication with the property manager was great via text. The description of the house mentions “newly renovated” however I think it has been quite a while (or it’s seen many guests) since the interior has been painted or redone. I was able to leave my review with the property manager via text and my concerns were well received. I would recommend this location if you want private, immediate beach access as well as a good size pool close by. Also dog friendly which is always a plus! The property management is also really great!

Quality beach time!

We had a great stay at Wall Street. No, it’s not the biggest or greatest home you’ll stay in. But it has all you need for your stay on the beach. And we pleasantly surprised to discover the home has been updated since the photos we saw in the listing. The real draw of course is that this home is right on the beach, so you can wake up and take in the view on the porch while sipping coffee, or watch the kids play while sitting in comfort. Loved the privacy, loved the beach, and therefore loved the home. All that and Harris Property was super responsive when we addressed one small maintenance issue. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider returning.

Location rocks

The house was as advertised. Communication from the property manager was the best I’ve experienced in 20 years of renting in the gulf coast. This particular property is older but refreshed. It is literally on the beach, not “steps away” or “a short walk”. You are just there. Fort Morgan is secluded and quiet, not the rush of Gulf Shores proper-just the way I like it. This house was very clean. We had three dads and three boys there for a fishing trip and it suited us very well. They also have several neighboring properties that share the pool if you have a larger group.

We love Wall Street

This is our second stay at this property. Fall Break is an excellent time to go. It’s the house closest to the ocean. The management was very responsive to questions prior to visit and during checkin. They checked on us via text a few times too. We will be back.

Property is excellent, location very good. Check in process was a nightmare. Code did not work

Check in code did not work. Had to call 3 times to get someone to come let us in. We sat in the rain for almost 2 hours. I would suggest having some coffee pods and sugar/creamer packs with the complimentary items. We arrived late 8pm and didn’t stop (thank goodness) at grocery. So didn’t have coffee on our first morning ….. Beach was amazing the updates made are adorable. Beautiful house. Would go back again

Loved this house the most!

Loved this house the most from all our years renting beach houses! It is the closest to the beach - basically ON the beach. Had a great time crab hunting and playing in the ocean.

Great location on the beach

The beach house is wonderful except for the fact that it needs a good cleaning. The ceiling fans were half an inch thick with dust. Also, we had to go out and purchase pots and pans because the ones there were useless. They had one good pot for a crab boil of sorts and nothing more. Electrical outlet covers broken. A plant on the back deck looked like it had been there since the 80’s. It would be a wonderful place if someone would put some effort into keeping it up. I can assure you that they need new cleaning crew if they call the place clean. We spent the first day cleaning ourselves before we could even enjoy it. They proximity to the beach was awesome though, so a lot could be overlooked. In the end I would consider staying at Wall Street again. We did leave the pots and pan set that we purchased for the next group, so at least they have something decent to cook in. We usually stay in a larger home, but decided on this one since it was just us this time. I loved, loved the deck! It was awesome. The pool was great to have when the tide was too high to enjoy the ocean. Everything for the most part was great.

Great Spring Break Fun

Wall Street was a great house for my family. Had wonderful access to the water and the house was clean and comfortable. Loved having the big deck. Only problem we had was parking. The shared driveway was a small problem. The neighbors had 4 cars that was always blocking the drive. We ended up stuck twice. I would stay at this property again if we ever go back to Gulf Shores.

Would not recommend this property.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. The back deck wood is loose and is very dangerous, the paint is cracking in multiple rooms (which indicates possible mold), the tile in the bathroom is cracked & loose, several plugins do not work, several lights do not work, and also the deck around the pool has nails and screws sticking up. Unfortunately, my husband learned that the hard way when he stepped on a nail, ripped his foot open and had to go to the nearest urgent care. It ruined his entire trip. This house is definitely NOT worth the money and needs lots and lots of updates. Pictures illustrate a beautiful beach house but that definitely is not the case. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Could use some lite maintenance

The location is fantastic. Right on the water and we were able to have coffee and watch the children play on the beach. The Harris Property sign was difficult to find (especially at night) but when I had to call for help finding it the woman on the phone couldn't have been nicer! However, the house itself could use some love. There was a broken toilet seat and several areas where walls needed to be patched up. Also I noticed a pipe under the house had a tiny hole that sprayed water and the upstairs shower handle came off in my husband's hand! A guy came to fix some things while we were there, which was a bit off-putting to a vacation. Overall we had a fine stay.

I never write reviews but feel like I need to warn people... this place is gross!

While the house is wonderfully close to the water, it doesn't make up for the fact that it is in dire need of renovating. The refrigerator door is completely rusted, as is the inside of the microwave. The curtains are stained and torn. The paint is peeling badly in some places and I'm pretty sure there's mold in one of the bathrooms. The porch light that I read about in another review is still not working and probably can't be fixed because if it's age. The furniture is so uncomfortable I was looking forward to getting back in the truck and driving for nine hours. To top it all off on our way down we called for help with directions and were told that nobody else had any problems finding the place and that maybe our gps needed to be updated. I travel frequently and have stayed in all kinds of places but this place was terrible! Advice to the owner.... SPEND SOME MONEY! This place is not in a bad location, it's deck and proximity to the water are great, and with a little effort and a couple thousand dollars(which is only a weeks peak season rental) it could be really cute.

Location, Location, Location The location, right on the beach was great. However the house could use some upgrades. Starting with replacing the rusted refrigerator and removing the chipped paint from the walls and repainting. The mattress in the master bedroom should also be replaced.
