Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores offers that nostalgic feel and only 15min to the hustle and bustle of inner Gulf Shores. This location is perfect for a family that wants a low key/low maintenance vacation from traffic and people. The Space: Do you remember a time when you went or saw pictures of the beach with no high rise condos and you could see the blue sky and land for miles? Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores offers that nostalgic feel and only 15min to the hustle and bustle of inner Gulf Shores. This location is perfect for a family that wants a low key/low maintenance vacation from traffic and people. This private beach house offers three bedrooms and two full baths. The master is a large open room with a king bed and a queen pullout sofa. It also has a seating area next to french doors that open to a beach facing patio. The master bath is also where the laundry room is. The two guest rooms have queen beds in them and share a full bath with a stand up shower. The den area is open in the center of the house with windows facing the beach and patio with Gulf views and palm trees swaying in the wind. In the den you will find a queen size pullout sofa and 2 comfy recliners to watch the smart TV from. The kitchen is full size and well stocked to cook all of your meals from. Why eat inside when you have a large picnic table on the patio with a Gulf view? There is also the best little screened in porch facing the water with a swing to relax and listen to the seagulls while watching the waves crash in the distance. The beach access is a super short 90 steps to the east and the cool Gulf water is another 25yards if that. With low density houses on that road the beach is less crowded. The end of Cortez Street to the west of Latitude Adjustment is a dog friendly beach and just steps away. The house itself is dog friendly up to 12lbs. Underneath you will find covered parking for smaller cars, possibly two depending on length, a big grill, outdoor shower, swing and sandpit. This is a favorite area for the kids while the big grill keeps dad entertained. There are a few restaurants down Fort Morgan if you choose to drive but why wait in line when you have everything you need right here. No need for dressing up, makeup or spending hours of your vacation in traffic or two hour dinner waits. Cook at the house and take it out on the beach for sunset dinner with your family and friends. Great views of the beach and ocean, could hear the waves breaking on the shoreline. Brilliant white sand with the characteristic squeak of Appalachiacola quartz sand. It was pretty well stocked (bring toiled paper). The air conditioner is old and seems small for the house, but after the first day (once we turned it down after check in), it managed to catch up and keep the house cool. Location is great and easy access to the beach about 2 houses down. Nice quiet neighborhood outside of town, although there is a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood (I stepped on a rusty roofing nail!). The beach is WONDERFUL and such pretty sand and clear water. After we left I was charged an "additional cleaning fee" on top of the significant cleaning fee we already paid when booking. I was told there was a pet stain on the mattress cover and under the bed. I was also told that a queen blanket and 4 pillow cases were taken from the property. NO. We did NOT take anything that was not ours and we had no pets (we drove 12 hours.. not thanks not with a dog!) I told them but it didn't matter. Also, the property has cameras, so I'm not sure why they didn't just check the cameras to check for a pet. So either our friends small child wet the bed or the kids spilled apple juice or something (It happens and is a risk you take when renting property) OR it was a previous stain which is disgusting! Our friend did leave his apple watch and the property management did mail it to him, which was nice. I would have loved to go back and stay again, but will not stay considering they charged us these charges that were not accurate. ##### Kassie L.
