There was moldy nasty boards in the bathroom. It smelled musky. It was so hot. They don’t have the proper a/c for the room. I am always cold, I even wear long sleeves in summer, but I didn’t sleep with the heat in the room. It’s really not suitable for 4 people. Maybe parents with 2 small children- maybe. The furniture had to be completely rearranged to make the bed in the living room then put back in place just to function in the room. You just have to cross the road & you're at the beach. FYI, 216 did not have a full kitchen - that wasn't obvious on the hotels.com description. Had a small fridge/freezer & they work well, coffee pot & microwave. Not the newest building or accommodations, but a good price comparatively & location was great! Within walking distance of lots of restaurants & shops. If you forgot something, start at the Dollar General - good prices & lots of selection, including beach items & some groceries. Shrimpy's putt putt is close & fun. We enjoyed Gulf Island Grill for dinner & Pink Pony for sunset drinks. The worst part is The Hangout has MEGA sound system that you can hear through the walls. Bedroom and bathroom were cleaned meticulously, and the refrigerator was perfect size for what we needed! Con: they said that it had been “cleaned” prior to our arrival, yet there was sand, dirt, and a clump of hair all over the floor. Also, one of the shelves above the bed completely fell off and hit us on the head in the middle of the night!
