This home features a spacious floor plan, high-end finishes, and two decks to enjoy the views of the gulf! Anchors Away is the perfect place for your next family getaway or multi-family vacation that can accommodate up to 12 guests. Anchors Away is located in Fort Morgan, offering exceptional views of the Gulf of Mexico. This quiet peninsula allows guests to enjoy the white sand beaches away from the crowds and congestion. About Anchors Away Anchors Away is the best-kept secret, that you probably don’t want to share, just steps from the beach in Ft Morgan. With spectacular views from the multi-level home and easy beach access, you will want to come back year after year! On the main level of the home, you’ll be welcomed by the wide-open floor plan, modern decor, and impeccable gulf views. Enjoy the updated kitchen with stainless appliances, spacious countertops, a wet bar, island seating for 8, and a dining table that seats 6\. The living area features a large mounted TV and plenty of seating options, you can even enjoy the gulf views from the couch! The access to the first deck with open and covered seating is through the convenient French doors. The master bedroom is located on this level featuring a king bed, gulf views, access to the deck, TV, and private luxury bathroom. Bedroom #2, or “the bunk room”, is also on the main level, perfect for the kids of the group! There is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo that guests can enter from the hall or from the bunk room. Moving upstairs to the top floor landing, guests will appreciate the second living area with comfortable seating, a mounted TV, and a table for games and puzzles. There are 2 more bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a second covered deck found here as well. Bedroom #3 has a queen bed, access to the deck, TV, and an entrance into the hall bathroom. Bedroom #4 has a queen bed, access to the deck, TV, and a private luxury bathroom. Under the home is a private shower for getting off all of the sand and saltwater from your day at the beach and a swing to take in more of the Gulf views. Remember, Anchors Away allows 2 dogs (with additional fee(s) ), and the beach access is just 50 feet away. On the peninsula, guests will find the following restaurants: Tacky Jacks 2, Sassy Bass, Coast Restaurant, The Village Hideaway, and The Kiva Grill. Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan! The kids enjoyed the short walk to the beach, and playing in the sand around the property. The adults enjoyed the convenience of just getting to unpack and enjoy the trip. Home was very large and spacious all bedrooms including the bunk room had plenty of space ro move about. Pantry was great. When we arrived we had trouble figuring out what door the keypad was on and then when we found it key code would not work. Had to call company to be able to get in but after talking with 2 different people none of the codes they gave us would work. Finally gave us code to get actual key out of box. When we got in microwave door would not open and one of the TV remotes would not work. Maintenance told us they would be there between 10 and 11 the next day to fix the issues but was after 12 before they arrived. Fixed the remote and microwave problem but although they said they fixed the keypad code they did not. Could not leave the home and lock the door due to inability to get back in. There were some serious safety concerns in the home - there were numerous places in home that the floor was buckled posing tripping hazard mostly on main level but 1 in one of the upstairs bedrooms and one of these places was very bad in the living/dining area we all tripped over it numerous times. Also the railings on the porch overlooking the beach are loose, not loose enough that i was afraid of falling but loose enough that needs to be fixed before they get worse. Also doors would get hung on floors Outside doors were very dfficult to close all the way. Coffee pot leaked as did fridge and wine cooler. ##### Jennifer H. It was clean, steps away from the beach, with plenty of space for the entire family, and loved the open concept to the living room, dining, and kitchen areas. There are a couple of minor recommdations: to fix the bathroom doors from rubbing the floor in the guest bedroom upstairs, and provide more kitchen and bathroom towels.
