Great location, old fashioned hotel
Good value and location with direct access to the beach. The staff are very polite. Room quite old fasioned and bed mattress quite hard. Its very dark at night so best to use a torch to get back to the room. Overall for the price i paid i liked it and would go back again.

Hotel on the beach but room old and big reaches in the room 😨 The night audit very friendly cleaned but we were still afraid and we noted that the room wasn't clean very well ! Tub with dificult access The reception s staff was horrible and they don't give us any information , for every question the answer was " don't know " Until how much time for big Buddha or for Chaweng beach ... they don't know , because they don't want !! Expect the chef réception may be more friendly Exterior are beautiful and swimming pool too Breakfast buffet was very good Well we don't recommend this hotel for the rooms !

The staff was friendly and helpful. The property is in bad need of repair and modernization. Everything is really old and peeling and rusty (my bathroom faucet). The pool and lounge chair furniture are old and some are ripped. The room does not have enough natural light and the lights are dark, which didn’t help. The bathroom was especially dark bcs not enough lighting.

Set on a fantastic beach, hotel was very clean and staff attentive. Hotel a little dated but did not matter as everything else was just right! Reminds me Lara Croft and Tomb raider set within the jungle.

Amazing apartments with every luxury thought of, beach bags, welcome hamper, beach towels, free airport transfers, free bike hire. Great local places to eat on the doorstep. The only downside was the lack of beach, sand made of coral and sea not accessible. We visited in low season and getting a cabana on the beach was no problem in peak season it may prove difficult as there are only 4 and no other parasols or shade! The staff we lovely and very helpful.

Quirky Hotel in a great location on Choeng Mon Bea
We had booked a deluxe room for our 2 week stay, on arrival we were given an up grade to an executive suite. The room was large but quirky, always expected Laura Croft to appear with the Ankor Wat type decor, pillars and mouldings which is the theme of the hotel and perhaps why the crumbling facade and broken carvings are deliberate rather than through lack of maintenance. Good location on the beach, with free sun beds, Family Mart and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly, house keeping and WIFI were excellent, struck it lucky with the room on hearing gripes about their room condition from fellow guests. Breakfast was poor, with what was on offer being dependent on the staff on duty. Rooms are in blocks located either side of a central pathway, standard rooms and suites located on the ground floor and Deluxe rooms being on the upper floor. We had struck it lucky with getting the room upgrade as we would have struggled accessing our original choice of room due to the steep stairs, 16 + steps. There were no handrails fitted and lighting was non existent apart from the Chinese type lanterns along the central pathway. If elderly or physically impaired my advice would be you to go for the cheaper standard room or more expensive suites. On hindsight think our upgrade was due to the receptionist noticing my wife had a problem getting up the front steps to the reception on arrival for which we really grateful.

Back Again
Another great stay. The staff and atmosphere make this a very enjoyable stay on one of the best beaches in Koh Samui. Food is very good especially the lunches and snacks. Location great for eating out at night. Only down side is not having a balcony to sit out of and hand shower in bathroom but still good value.

Fab position on beach great food great staff
Great overall experience all staff fab especially pop!! In the restaurant food was always tasty and they were willing to adapt dishes to suit which was amazing. Grounds are beautiful, though somewhat in need of a little repair. Beds lovely and comfi, cleaners were fab every day. The hotel itself is very dated and in need of modernising. This kind of added to its charm. Fab beach, romantic meals by the sea listening to the waves. Bathrooms need modernising.

Right on the beach
Idea hotel for people on a low budget. It is dated and in need of some TLC but the maids clean every day and leave fresh towels daily. The staff were helpful when we asked however not all staff were fluent in English. Cheong Mon is literally one street so all amenities are on the doorstep. We travelled into Chewang quite a few times by the local bus - tut tut, a van with seating to the rear. This is the cheapest method of transport other than hiring mopeds( but you are risking your life). On average they charge 100baht per person but occasionally they quote cheaper 50baht! However, the earlier in the day it is cheaper. Always barter! We ate breakfast at Garland Samui, opens at 8am and quite cheap. 180baht for an omelette, 60baht - cheese/ham toasty, 40baht cornflakes and milk, cup of tea 40baht. In the day and evening The Orchid or The Long Table( excellent customer service)

A disappointing stay.
The White House Beach Resort and Spa is classed as a 4 star hotel- this is not a 4 star resort by any means -believe me. The hotel is dated and in desperate need of a makeover, and I don’t mean a lick of paint, it needs closing and some serious work to bring it up to standard. The hotel comprises of a reception area at the front that leads into an open central corridor about 50 metres long that is tree lined with huge overgrown palm trees and vines on either side. This is where the rooms are situated and because the windows look out onto this jungle corridor it makes the rooms a very dark. The bathroom was terrible again very dated, it reminded me of an 80’s none league football team’s changing room and the ceiling was the old suspended tiles you find in offices - quite amazing really. At the end of the tree lined corridor is the pool, which was fine, and then there’s the restaurant which opens up onto the beach. The restaurant building is shabby, we ate there the first night but were the only ones in there - there are numerous restaurants just outside the hotel which are very popular. The breakfast was average because the hot food choices really let it down. The hotel really is a 3 star place, would I stay there again - no.

Lovely little oasis . Rooms accessible through a jungle passage (well a tropical garden). Bed was good, A/C was good. bath could use a bit of an update but still very nice.

Perfect resort
This resort stay was perfect. Beautiful garden, room and excellent service. The beach was perfect for swimming and right in the hotels backyard. The pool was good sized and wifi was dry good as well. I strongly recommend this place.

Needs a major renovation
Our first room had major leaks when it rained(which is a lot in rainy season) rain was pouring through the light fitting and also pouring down from the vanity. . No repair man at night so had to turn lights off n they gave us 2 buckets!! Mould n ingrained dirt everywhere in bathroom and never been properly cleaned for years. No shower in this room. Very hard to get out of sunken bath with only a shower fitting. Towels thread bare. Old box TVs with bad reception. Large rooms but very dark and couldn't open curtains or Windows (nozzles - no screens) coz passing guests. Pool not clear when first arrived but after major dose of chemicals cleared 2 days later. Restaurant food not good and you never saw more than 2 people eating there. No bar as such. Reception staff fantastic dealing with numerous complaints every day and didn't hesitate changing our room. all staff great but felt they weren't happy with the state of the place either Great position on beach but needs a complete over haul.

Old and charming - but bad internet
It is an old an charming hotel, with a lot of character. Very authentic thai in style and atmosphere. The room I got was an old style "suite" with two rooms. Low in ceiling and incredible interesting. Nothing for a disabled person, that's for sure! The bed was high and ok. Some might say too hard, but it was ok for me. The breakfast was pretty basic, and nothing to write home about. But the internet was really lousy! I tried to connect at several spots outside the room with some success, but inside it was impossible. No signal strong enough to connect. If you want a stay on the beach which is quiet and has character, you could come here. But if you need to be connected to the outside world, forget it!

The White House Hotel Choeng Mon Koh Samui
Overall our family's hotel stay was great, mainly due the convenient location - right on the beach, perfect weather and the terrific hotel staff. Staff were actually exceptional!!. The restaurant meals were also a treat as we opted for the traditional Thai dishes, which they do so well :) Although the hotel itself is in need of some serious money spent on repairs (leaking roof, intermittent hot water service and an old air conditioner in need of a filter clean), the room was large, comfortable, very clean and more than adequate for a 2 week stay. When we needed to change rooms due a leaking roof, resulting from a torrential down pour of rain and too much leaf litter in the gully; nothing was too much effort for the manager & staff. We were given a choice of rooms, our bags relocated by staff and a follow up call to see everything went well and were happy with the new room. Can't ask for more than this!! We will return - great value for money!!

Spent a week here and loved it, a great location for a quiet time but only 5 min to Walking St by taxi motorbike, a little dated but a great location and for the price I cant really complain, the 2 pools were clean and staff were fantastic, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Decent pool and great access to beach. TV looked smaller than advertised. No rainfall shower head. Had to hold shower in one hand! Water pressure and temperature fluctuated. Dirt on Wall. Water dripped from light fitting. Kettle electrocuted me....and one other guest. Extremely dangerous but given extras to compensate.

Our Ko Samui stay was great
The hotel is a bit old and so are the room conditions. The biggest concern are the non-working A/C and Fresh water tap. We have asked for repair, but finally no change. The restaurant is very good, the hotel beach is very nice and the nearby shops, restaurants and bars are very good.

They made this hotel look really good online, but it's actually nothing like it looks online. The property is very dated and rundown. Rooms have old dingy furnishings and old ac units that don't cool down the room well. There was mildew and mold in bathtub. No shower. Room smelled like mildew and mosquitos everywhere. No mosquito nets provided.

It was far from the Lomprayah ferry docks, but close to the airport, but not under a flight path. It's in a relaxed stretch of beach, but close to shopping and restaurants. The Wednesday Night Market was a nice surprise. The staff were super nice and helpful. The beach is safe and clean.

Came here for our honeymoon. Very nice hotel right on the beach. Long lush garden walkway between rooms and the restaurant and pool at the end of the walkway. We were given a coconut to drink upon our arrival.

Our romantic haven
Such a great treat to end up here in Choeng Mon after Chewang beach. Private beach was great. Dining on it there at night was romantic, but the food wasn't the 'best', but okay. Beautiful grounds and pool. The rooms are really nice and spacious. Love the hot tub and alternate shower in the open room. Service was great. Would recommend to anyone. The only thing to note–I'd stay in Bophut Fishing Village if I were to do it again. But this was between Bophut and Chewang so that was fairly convenient for visiting both.

Excellent service in this hotel located just on a long and beautiful beach. Small swimming pool just in front of the beach. Free of charge shuttle for the AirPort, 15 minutes to go, good idea! Dinner directly on the beach in the evening, very nice and romantic!

This location is fantastic-quiet compared to Chaweng but lots of amenities and all you need. the hotel didn't have our booking but found us space in upgraded room which was the Chomduan suite- large, traditional decor and very clean. the paper is delivered to your door each morning, and a basket of tea and muffins was delivered in the afternoon. fruit upon arrival! these personal touches are rare and makes this hotel s great find for the price. breakfast was great, the beach is sandy with calm water. You will be very happy here!

Everything is very old
Terrible bathroom, the shower is just above the toilet, never seen anything like this before.it was no water for probably 6 hours. The tv is 20 years old, they did promised LCD, forget it. Lucky for me I had to stay there only for 2 nights.

Friendly staff but definetly no 4 Star hotel
The hotel is from 1983 and it doesn't meet today's expectations for a 4 Star hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the location directly at the beach is good. The breakfast is ok. but is not comparable to other 4 Star hotels in Thailand.

On a beautiful stretch of beach, which was not too busy. The interior decor of the hotel is a bit insane, but the room was large and clean, though approaching time for a renovation, it was fine. Hot water was a bit irregular, and shower pressure was low, but the hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite, very good hospitality overall. breakfast buffet very good, and dinners at the restaurant were good, but just a little bit expensive. Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially with the last minute deals offered.

Hotel de plus en plus délabré au fil des années, accueil plus que moyen, porte de chambre qui ne ferme plus, douche qui ne fonctionne pas, transat vétuste, petit-déjeuner pas bon, fuites partout dans le hall, hôtel en chantier de rénovation aucune information à ce sujet. À ÉVITER AU MOINS POUR UNE ANNÉE !!!!!!! Dommage car pourrait être un endroit magique
