![The famous pink lakes of Mexico, Rio Lagartos. A magical sight! Pink waters and blue sky, It was like sunset reversed; a feast for eyes! There are plenty of colorful salt lakes near Las Coloradas/Rio Lagartos in the Yucatan peninsula. It is just 2 hours drive away from Chichén Itzá and around 3 hours from Cancun. Public transport is scarce in this part of Mexico. 
We took a rental car and it was an easy and comfortable journey for us :) Once we reached Las Coloradas, we were welcomed by giant white salt mountains. After driving around the salt mountains for some time, we finally found someone local who took us to this beautiful private salt lake.

Great beach huts in a stunningly beautiful location far from other residences. Quiet, good food, sea breezes, and that clean sea smell. Our host, Marcos, was attentive and kind. « The villa is just off the road (highway) connecting west and east side of island. Enough out of town to make you feel like you're in the jungle. The birds and lizards are super cool too see and hear as you eat the breakfast made by the onsite chef and brought to your villa in the morning. The host was really great at getting us everything we needed such as rental car, ebikes, suggestions on the island and activities. The villa itself was so clean and with the a/c was very comfortable. The inside...

« David was a great host. The private cenote is very nice and relaxing. The jungle cabin is very basic if that is what you are looking for, no option for cooking. We enjoyed being able to unplug for the night and listen to the monkeys and birds from the nearby sanctuary. »

The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always paying attention to everything we needed, which truly made our stay comfortable and stress-free. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the middle of the city. You can easily walk to the most famous street, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and anything you might need. The beach is also very easy to access, and the area feels very safe and secure at all times. Overall, this resort offers excellent service, a fantastic location, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen"

"Le personnel était formidable. Tout l'équipe était souriant et toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons adoré la selection de nourriture, bar à pizza, sushi, café, bar à collation ouvert 24/7, un buffet et trois restaurants. La chambre était vraiment belle et propre. La piscine était asser grosse et très belle. Les bars étaient tousse excellent et d'excellent brevage à volonté. La proximié à la ville était formidable et directement sur l'océan.
