The host is very nice and works at making the common areas feel like home. There is a fun energy around the grounds that strikes memories of summer camp. Amongst the other guest that were mostly families, my partner and I enjoyed the social energy which the facilities are set to encourage. It's a beautifully situated spot on the Russian River during the season. It's very casual with a large lawn, fire pits, BBQ, basketball. Great for family gatherings when it's warm. My only contact with the owner was on the phone. Al helped me find the property. If you don't go after dark and don't care about things like properly installed smoke detectors, then you'll probably have a good stay. Also, it was pricey even for an off season resort. I'm from Monterey, CA But Guerneville is much smaller. Check pricing carefully.
