We requested non-smoking room but there is strong smoking smell in corridor and our room. We have to change room in 2nd night. Staff are not trained well and have limitation in English speaking.

I didn't sleep the first night. The bathroom lights were broken 。light flickering like ghost lights. Also no hot water. Dust everywhere. Sounds like nobody stayed for years. I booked nonsmoking king bed. Gave me smoking room. Then changed to 2 twin beds. Then called front desk for help. Whole night was fixing the problems. Couldn't sleep. I have pictures and videos to approve. And I asked front desk to give me refund for first night since I couldn't get any sleep. But been treated very bad... I am still under the stress of scary and hurt..

I have a 3-year-old son, we booked a themed room, "Super Wings" and he was so excited about it. From check-in to check-out the people were fantastic. We forgot the boy's Ipad in the restaurant and they tracked us down to return it. The executive club was fantastic, drinks, food and service were fantastic, we will be back.

The view is great. The hotel is old. The elevator is moody and not always read your room card. you have to practice many times and see if you are lucky, you might stuck in the elevator for minutes until it reads your card, or not. Same goes to the room, the first time you will feel you got the wrong/bad room card, but if you keep trying, one of the attempts you might get it right. If you order another stay right after this stay, they will NOT give you another minibar treatment. Unless you check yourself out, and wait for two hours, then check yourself in again, then you can enjoy the one minibar per stay treatment. They have restaurants in hotel, but if you just walk in, you have to wait for a seat with an empty stomach, you must do it the old fashion way making an reservation hours beforehand. There is a construction site right in front of the hotel, blocking the way to the riverside. The gym is small and old, you have to be lucky again to see how crowed it will be. The swimming pool is only 1.2 meters, also, depends on how lucky you will be to see how crowed it will be. Compliments to the cleaning staff, they are really considerate and carry the five star hotel service standards on their shoulders. Otherwise the late night reception gentleman who renewed my room card should also receive a corporate compliment for saving the costs of another minibar for your shareholders.

Definitely returning again as we like to stay in this hotel. The room we booked have a big living room and a separate toilet catering best for my father in law. The quality of food, the service and the environment of the executive lounge is one of the best we have stayed.

Weekend escape in guangzhou

I coudn't sleep properly because I had some people on my next door that have a big discutions around 2AM and the only solution that offert to me the hotel was that they can change to me to other room instated of change the other people that made the noise. The manager wasn't profesional at all. An hotel like that must have proffesional managers.

Old rundown hotel with horrible service
Hotel looks old and rundown with horrible service. I checked in at 10am. The receptionist put a $200 hold on my credit card. I picked up my room key at 5pm (my room was not ready at 10am) the receptionist put an additional $730 hold on credit card without telling me. My room was already paid for in advance. I don’t know why they feel I would spend or break $1k in 2 nights unless this is a scam the hotel is running. Hoping people won’t notice the second hold and pushing it through as a charge. The receptionist at checkout cancel the $730 charge after I yelled and complain about the charges. I ask for a non smoking room and my room smelled like a cigarette box. I couldn’t air it out because the fan wasn’t working. The mattress is hard as a rock. I woke up every morning with a stiff neck and backache. Food at the hotel was pricy and gross. They have a metal detector in the lobby. I had to go through it every time I enter the hotel. It was a lot of fun getting scan and patted down. The X-ray machine has a conveyer belt with a very short shelf. There’s no stopper. It just keeps running to the floor. My expensive white leather bag kept getting thrown and drag onto to floor while I get padded down. The extra guards couldn’t care less that things were falling out of my bag, spilling over the floor, dragging on the floor!

Beautiful hotel from the time I walked in. Awesome river-view room. Calm waterfall rest area in the garden. Garden view walking track. Huge clean pool. Extremely friendly staff ( Tip: visit their Concierge, very helpful. I connect wechat with one of the concierge leader who helped me a lot, even answering questions when I am outside of the hotel). Live piano performance in the evening. Free shuttle bus to Canton Tower, but if you want to take a taxi, it is really inexpensive. Love this place. Will definitely come back to this hotel the next time I come to Guangzhou.

My bed was extremely uncomfortable since I woke up with back pains and had to go to massage. The bed was lumpy. In general, it was good.

bathtub not exactly clean, with some dirt stains. but overall speaking still a nice property, 5min walk from metro, in a quiet area and quite tranquil too.

I was placed in the room full of smoking smell. Obviously it is used by a smoker! I assumed the hotel is smoke free. Bed sheets are soggy and not clean. Hotel is 2 star hotel. Worst luxurious hotel ever. Want my money back!!!

A Nice Ok Hotel
I'd give the hotel a nice rating. Rooms are spacious, clean, and up to date. Pool outside, running space, all nice additions. Concierge very helpful. Have to say check-in and check-out services really slow and not switched on. But the rest of the hotel quite nice.
