I SPECIFICALLY booked the Mulian hotel, and was willing to pay a premium because it is stated that is is a 6 minute walk to the Canton Fair. The location on the map also confirms this. In reality it is 2 subways stops away , 6 miles or a 15 minute taxi ride! It is stated that is is in Pazhou! No it is NOT! it is on "Bio Island. It is a 15 minute walk just to get to the Guangzhou Metro station! I had many HEAVY boxes that I had to take to and from the fair each day! Walking was impossible ! So I incurred taxi fares, hassles and loss of valuable time both ways on all days. Not only is it not in the location that is claimed, it is in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. There are no other resturants or shops within walking distance. because of its remote location, there is a long wait for a taxi. The hotel is "nice". Everything is brand new. They are still doing construction on the lobby and entrance. The Staff are nice and helpful. The kitchen staff are OK, but still clearly trying to figure out how to run the place.
