Manicured park like setting with onsite spa facilities- massage, temazcal (natural steam bath), hot mud, herbal neck wrap. Weirdly, my masseuse was a kid who could not have been more than 16 years old. He was training an even younger masseuse. The two had a rough time containing their giggles while working on these two old ladies- though they did a good job. I suggest asking for the more experienced masseuse. The temazcal is fantastic. The hotel restaurant menu is standard, well prepared Mexican food- nothing creative. Make sure to stop by the barrio pools just outside the gate, run by local women doing their own and others’ laundry. For $100 pesos they will clean out a pool for you and you can soak for an hour in some steamy mineral water, shaded by a tent of drying laundry. Low rent bliss.

Sigue siendo una joya para los que nos gusta la naturaleza, el silencio y el agua. Los jardines son espectaculares, perfecto para largas caminatas entre sus enormes laureles. Las albercas están limpias y calentitas. La comida ha mejorado.

Solo que siempre pasa que al momento de check in alrededor de las 3pm, cuarto no está disponible para la entrega y nos hace esperar hasta las 5pm, es estresante.

Dirty, needs to be remodeled, didn’t have conditioner or body cream and less shampoo than usual. Too expensand felt worse than being in a motel.

El agua estuvo fria los dos dias de mi estancia y huespedes de varios cuartos incluyendome nos quejamos y pedimos q abrieran mas salidas de agua y nunca nos hicieron caso. Solo habia una salida abierta. Fue muy incomodo.

Great hotel to stay and get away from it all. Family friendly. Expect you to only order and eat your food and drinks at hotel and charge a fee if you bring in outside food and drinks.

Hotel is so beautiful but rooms need renovations.
Hotel is so beautiful but rooms need a lot, a lot of renovation. Does not go with the beautiful outdoor gardens and the beautiful environment. Rooms are big but old, very old. Other than that this a spot to getaway and spent a relaxing time.

El lugar es excelente y muy relajante. Solamente le falta un poco de mantenimiento al baño de los cuartos. Respecto a la comida, no está permitido introducir alimentos. pero con ésto se esperaría que la comida del restaurante sea de buena calidad y buen sabor. Los precios son muy altos en relación con la calidad de la comida que se sirve, está muy lejos el precio de cada platillo en relación con su calidad. Justo en la entrada de comanjilla hay un pequeño puesto en dónde venden gorditas y quesadillas (VALE MUCHO MÄS LA PENA Y COMERÁS MÁS RICO). El precio de los platillos va desde los 170 pesos (una hamburguesa) hasta más de 300 pesos (molcajete). Las bebidas también son caras: Cerveza $55, tequila $90, Whisky $110. Pero ésto no afectó mi experiencia en lo absoluto, la atención de todos los meseros es excelente!

Isolated location. Good as you are away from things. Bad as you can't walk 10 minutes and buy a coffee. Clean, clean room. No coffee maker, no fridge. They request you bring no food or drinks from outside. So every coffee or beer is purchased from the resort. It does ad up. There is a dispenser with free drinking water in the hallway. There is a small store near the entry with bottled water, chips, swim suits for sale. Friday thru Monday incredibly busy with little children enjoying the pools. Mid week much quieter. The meals were good (not amazing, but good). The meals are a little pricey. 230 pesos for the breakfast buffet which was very good with eggs cooked to order with your choice of ingredients. We will go back but the biggest negative is not being able to walk out and buy some fruit or a coffee from a local shop. The lower pool is nice. Warm, clean and you will sleep very well after time in the pool.

nice place far from city, quiet clean hot springs, sulfur smell high but bearable, overall hectic place on weekends but simple and Quiet during week, far from city, rental cars in the Bajío airport very difficult & costly, they don’t honor the Expedia’s insurance neither the price, at the end of day if you rented a car on Expedia is going to be money’s flushed down the toilet specially the car insurance.that you did bought here with Expedia! “moral” cars prices in the airport is a NO,NO, there. taxis are really expensive if you want to go to the city every day! from 35 $ to 50 $ US dollars per ride each way!

fantastic place for resting far from city! no regrets Though, , simple, comfortable, no frills, if you rent I car you’ll be just fine, the car rentals are very difficult and complex, I did rent a car but due to complexity of the process with Enterprise co, I lost the amount of the insurance that I did paid In advance, with Expedia, don’t get fooled by the prices that they offered, at the end of the day the amount they try to push on you is extravagant and utterly ridiculous! I did decided to take my chances traveling in taxis which at the end is very costly but les expensive than the rentals!

If there was a higher rating available, I'd mark it. A wonderful experience, very good food at the restaurant (a bit expensicve, though), extremely clean, huge garden and trees, spotless, manicured grass, clean, warm water..... In all, the best in central Mexico!

This would be my 6th stayed, the place is secluded a perfect place to get away, the good and bad is that their wifi works well. You have to get use to the odors coming from the natural mineral waters, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER unless its bottle or better make it beer which it's actually healthier than water. Make sure you book the Temascal and use the SPA which you'll enjoy after your mud bath, take your time the temazcal it's an experience to be savor. You must do the Glamping ask for it and have a great time, jump in the pool at midnight preferably with a full moon temp6its always warm. Yes their are set backs. For whatever reason the hotel changes personnel constantly, the bar, well it's not really a bar its run by whenever it's there and the kids do take forever to fulfill a stink even thought we were the only ones there unless you request beer or a shot. The food, again my guess is they do not have a chef, they have cooks that are copying some recipes and you will get either a good meal or ....something. however it's a great place to talk with family and friends there is no music and most everyone has no cell phones in use. And the price , well if you book outside of Mexico great deals are available. When here, explore the surroundings
