The issue may have been Hotels.com. I didn't receive the check-in communication, and the parking lot code didn't work. I had booked three rooms, and I got communication about only one room. I had to make an International call when I was in Iceland, which cost a lot of money. Hotels.com refuses to refund me. I am not happy. This may not be the fault of the property.

Hotel was great. Very clean, location was perfect as it's close to everything. Great water pressure in the shower as well. Heated towel rack a plus. Just make sure you pay the parking fee (when I checked in I was not told anything about parking and ended up getting a parking ticket for $100USD).

It definitely served our purpose and was very comfortable. We would have liked a small dresser to stow our clothes. We liked the location and it was very clean. We waited to get in as the room was not ready at 3:00. Not a big deal.

"The Old Post office was a large guesthouse very close to the Kirkjufell waterfall and mountai. The mountain was well seen from the guesthouse.
