Enjoy magical sunset drinks with views of the island of Martinique in one direction and Pigeon Island National Park and Rodney Bay in the other. Albatross Nest is our dream home - perfect views, distinctive open plan architecture, traditional Caribbean shingled buildings and beautiful tropical garden. Enjoy classic barefoot charm and listen to the sounds of nature and the sea below. The property is secluded and provides perfect privacy - it is only ever rented to a single party/group. Its layout means that it is equally suited to 2 guests as much as it is for larger groups of up to 8 guests. The villa was designed by architect, Robertson Ward, who designed the original Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados. Three buildings are linked by covered walkways around the large, private, central pool. The design is perfect for a tropical, outdoor lifestyle and the pool is spanned by an attractive bridge which creates a romantic environment. Albatross Nest is located in the North West corner of the Cap Estate which is generally regarded as the premier residential area of St. Lucia. The property is a very short drive to Pigeon Island beach, Anse Du Cap beach and Cas en Bas beach. The 18 hole golf course at the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club, snorkeling, scuba diving, kitesurfing, horse riding on the beach, tennis club and an award winning spa, as well as many of the island's best restaurants are all within a ten minute drive. Maid service is provided as well as gardening and pool services. The property has a security system. The pool is unfenced and deep so the property is not suitable for guests under the age of twelve. The property is managed by Kris Wagner who will welcome you to the property and advise on any aspects of your vacation. Kris and her team are on call 7 days a week to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in St. Lucia. The pool is really nice also. Property is located in a quiet part of the island and close to the Rodney Bay Marina, where there are some pretty good restaurants, and close to where the Friday night street party takes place. All just a short drive away. We enjoyed the open air living room too, very unique. We had Odessa cook us a great meal and it was well worth it! Would stay here again! ##### LYNN S. We had a wonderful stay at Albatross Nest! Kris was really helpful and knowledgeable, and it was lovely to have Ivy come by each weekday to freshen up the villa. The views were unbeatable and it was such a peaceful location. Took taxis (Donald was brilliant) into town when needed and walked down to The Naked Fisherman one evening. The setting was perfect, the staff were friendly and the food and drinks were amazing. Couldn’t recommend this villa enough! ##### Jose G. We wish we could have stayed a month. It is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed, competes with Positano. The 180 deg view will take your breath away any time of day or any weather. Kris was an excellent host, very responsive. Ivy was a delight and pleasure to see through the week. We had Eike cook us 2 meals and they were our best meals, he needs a Michelin star. We went down the hill to Body Holiday for a day (walking is taking your life in your hands), had 2 wonderful massause come in that were fabulous, very professional. We ate at Naked Fisherman and The Cliff, highly recommend both, and went to Rodney Bay for lunch and a little shopping. I highly recommend this idyllic place. ##### Tammy M. Albatross was as beautiful in person as it was in pictures! The views were entrancing. The property was well kept and clean. Our just Kris was informative and answered all our questions! She booked trips and taxis for us which was so helpful. Ivy the housekeeper was a dear and so sweet. Really a pleasure to be around. We had an absolutely wonderful time and the pictures do not do the view justice. We had a car rental car but driving at night is tough if you do not know the roads. The bay, the blue water, the ships, the land formations, the lush vegetation, rainbows, and view of Martinique right from the personal pool or veranda make this place an amazing experience. The outdoor spaces are the epitome of R&R especially during our morning coffee. Our host was able to help us set up a massage for our group right at the VRBO which only added to our relaxation. The house has the best views of anywhere we have ever stayed. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with lots of information. Donald the driver got us everywhere we needed to be all week and Ivy the housekeeper took such good care of us. Kris was wonderful with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for peace, privacy, and lush natural beauty, this is the place. The property feels like your own private sanctuary—surrounded by gorgeous trees, flowering plants, and birdsong, with the ocean stretching endlessly out in front of you. On a clear day, you can even see all the way to Martinique. I could have spent every moment in that infinity pool, just soaking in the view.The layout of the villa is wonderful. Each bedroom feels separate and private, with its own personality and charm. The common areas are thoughtfully designed with a variety of cozy seating options—ideal for reading, dining, lounging, or just watching the light change over the sea.One thing to note: while the villa feels perfectly secluded, you’ll need a car or driver if you plan to go anywhere, as there are dogs on neighboring properties that make walking off the grounds a challenge. That said, we didn’t mind one bit—this was a place we were happy to stay put.Everything about Albatros Nest invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and just be. Gorgeous water views in three directions, with plenty of places to sit in the shade or sun. Every bedroom is air conditioned and all the beds were very comfortable. Ivy, the housekeeper was very thorough and always looked for ways to keep us relaxed and pampered. Our property manager Kris was always available and responsive. A heads-up for future guests: the driveway is a bit steep. We managed it with a van, but renting a jeep or truck or arranging a driver might be a better option. Download WhatsApp for easy communication. Bring DEET bug spray—the living room is open-concept, so it’s best to apply it while you’re there. Lastly, there’s a ferry from the south airport to the north that we wish we had known about—it could be a smoother alternative to driving the roads. Don’t miss the Pitons!
