From the moment we laid eyes on the open lobby with the sparkling Caribbean in the distance, we were in love. The Concierge met us with a delicious rum punch and went over the details for the resort. The location is intimate and lush. We booked the junior suite which included a hot tub and an oceanview balcony. We decided not to get the all-inclusive plan because we knew we'd be off property several times during our nine-day stay. However, breakfast was included. The meals were extraordinary and served by a friendly and professional staff that catered to our every wish. Conrad, the owner, hosts a manager cocktail party each Monday where guests meet and chat with staff in a relaxed atmosphere. The beach, while small was more than enough for the guests. Chairs and umbrellas were set up early each morning and there were times I was only person on the beach. The ground are meticulous with inviting benches, paths, and flower-laden arbors to explore. We used the kayaks and paddleboards daily. After hiking the Gros Piton, we indulged in an 80 minutes couple massage and it was heavenly. There was music during dinner every night. To say we fell in love would be an understatement. Even the rough road leading to the resort didn't take anything away. As someone said, "It's like the storm before the calm." The only two minor requests I would make is to have a sailboat on the premises to use and perhaps dancing one or two nights a week. We will return to this beautiful gem of a retreat.
