Gringley on the Hill Vacation Packages

We have stayed here many times under the Brooklyn, but this is the first stay under the Voco brand. The staff that checked us in I can’t fault, very helpful and attentive. The room booked a king size had two single beds/mattresses pushed togeather uncomfortable mattresses at that. The room was clean and tidy but just missed the extra touch both shower heads needed a good clean as they sprayed every which way. The breakfast staff on the first morning not very helpful and the breakfast changers from the Brooklyn to Voco not an improvement the cold selection wasn’t very great. Both coffee machines broken not the staff’s fault but the alternative coffee was like dish water. The second morning I can’t fault the staff on shift at breakfast polite, helpful and chatty. Cleaning staff again not helpful, unfortunately one of the glasses (Plastic may be a better option) in the bathroom was knocked of the shelf I cleaned it all up and placed in wrapped tissue in a bag, when I stopped a cleaner with the bag as didn’t want anyone to just pick it up and cut themselves, she shrugged her shoulders before giving me a bin bag and giving me the bag back? More offers in the restaurant maybe to encourage guest to eat onsite. Still a great location walking distance from the centre, bus stops outside and lots of parking in not avaliable on site. A really shame this visit wasn’t up to scratch
