Great little villa but would have really liked the outer door to lock completely. Staff was great for the hotel, restaurant was very slow but good food.

Great boutique hotel
A beautiful place in a beautiful place! This hotel is off the beaten path but worth the daily (sometimes more than daily) trip to get to the other places on the island. The food at the restaurant is quite good, and our only advice is to go when you are not hungry because by the time your meal arrives you will be! (code for service is an opportunity area). Highly recommend!

The mosquitoes were bad. Eventhough they provide a scented oil spray to help, they were quite annoying. Other issue was the poor service at the restaurant. As far as food is concerned, no dinner on Sundays. Lunch menu good but breakfast is limited and not very good. Each place has a kitchen. I'd plan on doing some of your own cooking.

Peaceful and quiet place.
Unique location on an area of the island that is mostly residential. The Marina is nice to have and meet others. Staff was nice and helpful. We ate at the restaurant many times... fish bites and fish tacos are great! The Lightship on Friday was fun. There are things that could have been better. The paddle boards are not the best (one is missing a plug and fills with water) some of the beach chairs on the sand were falling apart. Our kitchen has enough miss matched stuff to make dinner for two... but barely. You need to taxi or rent a car. We used Ryan and Larry as our taxi rides everyday and they are great. Overall not bad and we would return if we have the chance.

Lovely setting, great comfort.
Wonderful family stay with comfortable villa set up. Beds were great with AC and netting. Lots of mosiquitos so will need deet. There were two bedrooms and 2 great bathrooms and kitchen and living room, and outside dining table. It had a view of ocean and docks. Really wonderful laid back setting. There were some things that needed to be fixed and they responded quickly to our bringing it to their attention, though the tv and one of the toilets were not able to be fixed during our stay. Pool was getting redone while we were there and they provided us with an alternative pool. It is a lovely setting and adjacent to restaurant with good food and bar. On Friday nights there is a lighthouse historical ship that has entertainment and food and bar. There is a marina so boatpeople are part of guest population. Great place. Good people. We were so sad to leave. FYI..it is a $30 (u.s.) taxi to town one way, so plan one day tour or different beach than one at hotel. Beach at hotel is part of marina so not as clear as Anse beach or magazine beach. Still, it has great view and sandy beach at Phare Bleu.

The front desk person is the key factor her name is Reshina and the car service guy named Kevin made our trip exemplary. Great location but little too far from everything. But manageable. The restaurant should improve time management and breakfast should start at least around 6:30 am. The menu must include pancake muffins French toast.Koiprathu.john Mathew

I liked the style of the property. Its decorated very contemporary and the outside is well kept and beautifully maintained. The bedroom is spacious cool and airy. The cottages indoor/outdoor living areas are a great concept, but you have to prepared to be hot during the day, since only the bedroom have air conditioning. The bathroom being on the outside of the bedroom is also inconvenient. I also feel like some of the spaces needs to to given some attention. For instance, the windows and corners were dusty. The bathroom had a bit of a moldy smell. There were a lot of mosquitoes and bites regardless of spraying all day long. I also wished there was room service available and also not happy with the restaurant closing at 3pm on Sundays. We had to drive out to get dinner when we should have be able to eat or have drinks on the property. I also felt that housekeeping should be on a daily basis since things get messy on vacation. For instance, I had to keep calling for toiletries and towels as we took multiple showers per day. All that said, the overall atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food and drinks are good. The Friday night light ship entertainment is also a great experience. If you looking for a quiet tropical environment then this is a great place to visit.

I like the location, the secluded nature of the villa, the peacefulness of the area and the freedom to wonder. I was a little disappointed that the property is not kept to the standard that it was a few years back, i'e the floor boards has lost the beauty of the varnish and so it now looks dull. Apart from that our stay was very relaxing. I would stay again if some decorating is carried out.

Loved the staff and Kevin, an affiliated taxi driver. Loved the open air restaurant/bar with wonderful breezes coming in off the bay. We came as several couples with two of them staying at the Serenity Villa. That was a wonderful place for them to stay, and a great group meeting place. The Garden Villas were also very nice. There is a wonderful pool and some small catamarans, paddle boards and kayaks available for use - very nice! The only very minor negatives would be low lighting levels in the Villas and the fact that you need a taxi or rented car to go anywhere. There is no place to walk to except the beach, pool, restaurant and bar, which wasn't really a bad thing at all. Overall, we all enjoyed this quiet, peaceful, very relaxing and friendly resort.

Loved our upper floor 1 bedroom unit. Huge deck, nice deck furniture, our own stand up bar, open up living space and seperate bedroom and bathroom. All very clean, nice linens and well done. Restaurant and staff are very good. Pool is small but nice view out over the marina. If you are looking for a very comfortable place to stay - out of the Grand Anse area- this is it. It is quiet - nothing happening here - but very well done. A rental car is needed as you can exore from here and come back for your evening. Can you tell - I like this place.

Amazing tropical paradise!!
Le Phare Bleu was an amazing stay in a tropical paradise. The open air rooms provide an awesome touch nature, while the perfectly air conditioned bedroom provided the perfect night sleep. The Island Fever restaurant/bar served great meals and tropical drinks. The marina view reminded me every day that I was on a wonderful vacation. The Light Ship floating bar/restaurant/music venue was an experience that I have never experienced before.

Le Phare Bleu was the perfect destination for a solo vacation. The resort is located away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Grand Anse which is about a fifteen minute drive away. The quietness and peacefulness enables one to relax and recuperate fully. The staff goes over and beyond to ensure that their guests are taken care of. Carla and Ronisha at the front desk are excellent with recommending and setting up activities. There are an abundance of water activities at the resort such as: kayaking and snorkeling. Rocky, the shuttle driver is always ready to take guests where they need to go and is a resourceful tour guide as well. Theresa is immaculate in making sure that the villas are tidy and clean. Overall, the positive and cheerful attitude of the staff makes your stay of the resort even more enjoyable.

It did not start off good. The hotel is changing into villas and you are to provide your own food and we did not know this when we booked. The restaurant is only open from 6pm to 11pm and not everyday. There is a full kitchen if you want to cook but we don't want to cook on vacation. The staff was AMAZING!!! Beautiful hotel
The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed our experience at this resort. My only caveat would be that it tends to get hot and humid and only the bedroom is air conditioned. We ended up spending most of our time in our bedroom when we were in the villa. Also, the pool was closed for 2.5 days for cleaning. That was frustrating. The location may only be 5 miles from St George's University, but it takes about 15-20 minutes to get there and a cab ride costs an average of $20 usd, making it expensive if you are in Grenada to visit someone at the school. Also, the beach is pretty mucky and full of weeds. Not at all like the beaches around Grande Anse beach. With all of that said, ifbypuvate looking for a quiet, beautiful villa with friendly people this is the place for you!

Beautiful, serene getaway
We spent a week in a downstairs apartment, set in beautiful garden area. Tasteful decor in all rooms, beautiful modern bathroom (shower no bath), There was air conditioning in the bedroom only but it didn't feel necessary in the lounge area as there is a very effective large ceiling fan. There are no mosquito screens on the louvre doors & windows in the lounge/kitchen area but with the fan on and using repellent we had surprisingly few bites. Repellent was supplied when we checked in - nice touch. There is a mosquito net over the bed so you can sleep in comfort Breakfast was local food and varied, brought at time requested to our patio. it was lovely. Housekeeping were thorough and very friendly. The pool is absolutely gorgeous and so is the cute little beach. I didn't bathe on this beach (not at it's best at this time of year with the rainy weather and sea weed that washed up) but it was a lovely view. There's a daily shuttle bus to/frm Grand Anse The food we had at the restaurant wasn't great to be honest but the cocktails were great. The Lightship had great bites and a great bar. Friday night there was a live band and singer - lovely atmosphere, great evening out. If like me you have family on the island and don't normally use hotels in Grenada, I would absolutely recommend spending a couple of nights to have a picture postcard idyllic getaway and experience Grenada in a different way away from the masses on Grand Anse. I will definitely do this again.

Little Get Away
We stayed for our honeymoon and had a great experience snorkeling around the bay and kayaking around parts of the Island. The food is great and the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel calls a taxi for you if you have anywhere you want to go. It's a little out of town so be prepared to either have long days of spend more on taxis.

Well worth it.
Tucked away in a small cove this boutique hotel lived up to our expectations. I have previously stayed at another more expensive boutique hotel on the island and I must say La Phare Bleu is better in quality. Having a full breakfast delivered daily is great instead of having to walk to the restaurant. We stayed in the apartments which had a nice open layout. The bed is extremely comfortable and AC was ice cold. My only two complaints were the WiFi dropped in and out a few times, and the unused beday caused us to request air freshener. This hotel is great for couples seeking a private getaway. Highly recommend it.

Lovely location with local food on a ship and great friendliness. If you want to explore the local cuisine and lovely spacious cabins, then that's the place of you to go. You don't even have to close the cabin with a key. It is just fantastic. Take a canoe or stand up paddle and explore the bay. It was an unforgettable short trip to Grenada.

Wonderful secluded escape
Le Phare Blue is an absolutely delightful place for a romantic escape. It's set in a secluded cove, with beatuful gardens that are wonderfully maintained. The sense of space and privacy is rare to find. Owners Dieter and Janna take an active interest in ensuring the comfort of their guests. There is a small very private sandy beach with great swimming in very calm waters. The small marina attracts about twenty boats but the scene is very laid back and tranquil. Highly recommended for couples who want peace and quiet.

Out of the way but mostly pleasing stay.
This resort is about 15 minutes away by taxi from the beaches and shopping areas. Don't drive yourself, as you will only get frustrated with lack of street signs, narrow streets, and congestion. The resort, serves as a marina, with apartments and private verandas. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. A/C is only for bedroom, but really, unless you're sleeping, why do you need it. Breakfast is delivered to your private patio in the morning at the requested time. Nice touch. The pool area was sufficient, but more loungers are needed, as both times we went to sit by the pool all 6 loungers were occupied. The resort staff were lovely and went out of their way to make you feel at home. 5/5 here. Don't come here if you are looking for a beach experience. We were not, and found the small area of beach here was sufficient for our needs. A few loungers are available at the water for those who want them. Remember, this is also a marina, so your view will also include some beautiful sail boats. My only beef with this establishment is the restaurant. The first night we arrived it was closed for a private affair. The two nights we ate here the service was extremely slow. One night they even asked us what we wanted for desert before our dinner order was placed, that's how long we waited. While the food was plentiful and of good quality, each day something else was not available from the menu. Overall, a lovely stay but be prepared to get a taxi if quality meals are a must.

A Treasured Experience
I can not even begin to describe beauty of the Le Phare Bleu Boutique Hotel and Marina. Style over substance
I was very disappointed and did not enjoy my stay. Fine if you don't mind being exposed to every passing guest or gardener staring into your sitting area, which could only be closed off by moving huge folding louvered doors gave a little privacy. The air-conditioned bedroom sparsely furnished was uncomfortable and impractical, two tiny bedside tables were the only furniture. so all personal items, hairdryer, books, cosmetics, lotions etc had to be placed on the floor. The wardrobe doors only opened half way, allowing limited access to two barely accessible shelves and a small hanging area with 6 plastic coat hangers, the safe inside the wardrobe was at floor level difficult to reach. Shower room was not en suite and without A/C was like a sauna. My expensive garden villa bore no resemblance to the photographs on the hotels website. A few of the staff were friendly and smiling unfortunately not the majority. Breakfast was another huge disappointment no cereals, minimal fruit, some hard boiled eggs, occasionally yoghurt, one kind of bread and a dried out Danish. Not good enough.

Beautiful place. Small beach. Gorgeous gardens.
Accommodations in the Villa was spectacular, but A/C was only in the Bedroom so the front room remained rather warm. Shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. Restaurant was good, but serving staff was slow despite it being not very busy. Resort was about a 15-minute drive from most tourist attractions, so a taxi for all off-site activities was necessary if one did not rent a car. Overall atmosphere was very romantic.
