It's close to everything Eleuthera has to offer Cove House, located on the picturesque Pittman's Cove of Gregory Town is a completely renovated 70 year old colonial Bahamian home with great stone pillars sparkling white against the back drop of Sea and Sun. It's location on the leeward "sea side" of the Island makes for less wind and warmer living. There are 2 vacation properties within Cove House. The listing you are viewing right now is the second story property known as The Captain's Quarters. The property on the ground floor (also 3 bedroom) is our Compass Cottage and that one is listed in VRBO has # 2071859\. Please have a look there as well. The Captain's Quarters is complimented by a private ocean front balcony complete with comfortable outdoor furniture, rockers, and a couch. The balcony overlooks Gregory Town's famous Cove and is literally the best view in Gregory Town! The Captain's Quarters at Cove House features a unique Island decor for clean and comfortable Island living. The Ocean front master bedroom features a queen size bed and both the second and third bedrooms each have two twin beds. The kitchen is a "foody's" kitchen and over-complete for vacation purposes but you will be able to find anything needed to prepare delicious meals. The entire property is now completely air conditioned with brand new HVAC units. Cove House is located close to everything the Island offers. Long lovely secluded beaches for shelling or just relaxing, unique Island made shopping, grocery stores, surfing beaches, and you can take advantage of the native's harvest from the sea by purchasing their catch right on the wharf. The host Donna and Harry are wonderful people who are very integrated and loved in this beautiful little town. The house is very well equipped, beds are comfortable, air conditioning excellent and they have their own water supply Incase the water goes off ( which happens on this island ). The location is perfectly situated with a great view of the ocean and fishing dock . A large patio overlooks it all the excitement when they bring in the days catch . You can get your fresh fish and cook it while watching a amazing sunset or if you don’t feel like cooking you can walk to one of the great places to eat with reasonable priced local food . It also close to many great beaches and other attractions. If you feel hesitant at all to stay in town with the locals ,no need to here ,they are friendly and very welcoming As a woman who travel alone to many places ,I must say in Eleuthera I feel TOTALLY safe . The unit is very spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to function properly. The view is beautiful from the upstairs deck. The caretakers were responsive and very helpful. Stayed here for a few days with my family of 5 in July. The property was perfect for us and so well located on the island with everything we wanted to do very close by. Felt like a real home with personal touches in a long history of past photos everywhere. Every convivence taken care of with well stocked kitchen, great A/C and comfortable beds. Property does not have a true beach to lay out on or play but the ocean and bay directly in front is great for swimming, snorkeling, and kayak/paddle boarding (plenty of them to choose from for free). We enjoyed traveling to the many nearby beaches and actually enjoyed staying right on the water where there is more of a wide pier in front. the views each day were amazing! Several small restaurants, groceries (small but normal for Eleuthera), liquor stores, and gas stations just a minute walk away. Very friendly people everywhere. Host was excellent with quick responses and tips or suggestions. Great place to stay and relax or explore rest of island from ##### Daniel K. This property overlooks a hub of local activity which makes it perfect. The emerald water of the cove greets you upon waking every day. The house has a full kitchen with all you'll need to make meals and snacks. Owners are very responsive. I asked for a non stick fan and it was there when I got there. The property is right in the heart of things downtown. The house is right in the center of town the most amazing views. You can sit on the front porch all day and talk with all the locals. This home had everything you could need for your stay. The accommodations are comfortable and the view is very pretty. The property manager is attentive and "just a message away." I had settled on just pay a lot for everything because it’s an island but I was amazed at his deal. Not only is the house clean and conveniently located it come with boards so wow that is a deal. The property is situation on the cove in Gregorytown. It is within walking distance of everything in town. It is so safe you can hitchhike to and from the beach. The Cove House has a new air conditioning system that is amazing! The temperature in every room is at your control. My favourite parts are sitting on the huge covered porch watching and listening to the lulling sound of the waves in the cove, and waving at all the locals who are so friendly. The house was very clean and roomy, the kitchen had everything needed for cooking, and had a great water dispenser. Great location for getting a true feel of Gregory Town. It was fun seeing the locals go out in their boats in the morning, and come back in loaded with fish. We even got to try fresh stone crab claws courtesy of the owner, Harry. Great location for sightseeing all the sites in northern Eleuthera. Harry and Rhonda warm and welcoming. Loved sitting on the porch watching the lovely people of Gregorytown coming and going listening to the sea and watching the sunsets overlooking the water. Swam in the bay in the mornings-bring beach shoes as there are conch shells. Loved eating at the local places.. Cove House is right in town and a minutes or two walk to everything.
